The 0745 is Parks usually with one of the new double deckers.
The Megabus one that was operated by Mcleans appears to be a change of bus in Glasgow now.

Only good thing about Citylink was no reserved seats…
£2-4 per person per way aswell… That could be up to £32 for 4 people up and back
Will be taking ember from 4th October then by the looks of it!
Also you can’t book journeys past the 3rd October yet, so it isn’t even set up
Unpopular opinion, but a wrong step for Citylink imo
Yes, I thought it would be the Megabus way with the first few rows. But it says you will be allocated a seat if you haven't reserved one.
Least there wont be seat reservations on the shorter routes like 900 or AIR.
Not sure what the need is for seat reservations, everyone gets a seat anyway. Part of the attraction of Ember and Citylink was no seat reservations.
Plus you get that scenario where there is someone sat next to you on an empty coach but you cant move as you don't know what seats are free.

I thought it was the same as megabus but if the whole thing is reserved that’s a massive L for Citylink

This is a more pressing problem and why I booked Flixbus for my upcoming journey from Edinburgh to Inverness.
Also will the reservations be strictly enforced ?

They only have any benefit at all if they are, particularly when it comes to desirable seats like the front row and extra legroom.

Personally I'm quite up for this. I can only travel by coach if I can guarantee extra legroom, ergo at present I mostly can't unless boarding at the origin and thus able to queue up early to ensure it.
All seats allocated does avoid arguments. As coaches can't carry more passengers than seats to me this does seem the best approach, as per aircraft. I'd not advocate Ryanair style wilful splitting up of groups, though; if people book together they should be allocated together unless that is impossible.
They will be allocated a seat if its like Flixbus, someone was given a seat between Carlisle and Penrith.

I'm grateful Ember are not going down this route. If there are seat reservations, then they really should be included in any ticket price like Ember. I'll be using Ember any time I have a choice between the two.
I do wonder how this will work for those using Spirit of Scotland Rover? Currently there is a £1.50 fee for a seat reservation.
I wonder what problem seat reservations on Citylink are solving? Or whether it is a revenue extraction exercise? I see they are non refundable in the FAQ.

If that is the case, that’s a bummer. The freedom of where to sit should stay.
Also wonder this, seems completely pointless.
