Something that really did make me laugh: there was clearly a miscommunication somewhere within Alstom- the shed with the 221s in wasn't supposed to be open, but was shown on the map.

But both doors were unlocked so many people kept going in from both ends, to be met with scrap metal and bits and bobs lying about, and open pits with people climbing under the Voyagers!

There was one man sheepishly trying to get people out and failing, but it was a health and safety nightmare!! I assume it was locked later in the day, but someone messed up leaving the gates unlocked there!

Photos show the Class 221s in this shed which wasn't supposed to be open.

Anyone know anything about the 3 movements booked in from/to Litchurch Lane tomorrow?
I think 5Z26 to Kettering is Flying Scotsman going to work back to Derby on 1Z92 British Pullman and then presumably 5Z25 in from Chaddesden is it returning.

0Z37 to Manchester Piccadilly was 37901

Day 1 was pretty good, although the ground was tricky under foot (well under wheel) here I have a few photos from the day. Also was the 2nd wheelchair user to cab a HST. I forgotten the name of the Welsh team who have it set up so I could (manual platform lift)

2 more days looking forward to the rest of them. I am so glad to live so close.

Quick question from me: they talk about road closures - is Osmaston Road closed? We bought a ticket for parking opposite at Great Northern Classics (promoted by Alstom) so just now nervous we can’t get to it!

Surely the Flying Scotsman isn’t not there for the Saturday?

Yes, some are accessible. I cab'd the GA 720, Cl.58 and DB Cl.66. There was also D1015, the warship, GA 755, D6700, the pendolino, 57307 and several others that I'm forgetting available.
Also 43159

I had hopes the Hymek and the other Deltic might have been shunted into the main display overnight, but sadly they are still stuffed in the same place this morning.

37611 and 730202 are both on site today

It’s going to Kettering to haul the British pullman back up to Derby then back in to Litchurch Lane this afternoon

37099 has made a surprise appearance at Litchurch Lane this morning, just before 37611 left

Llanelli & Mynydd Mawr railway. Cracking bunch of lads, great display, more than happy to engage with my kids. Recommend getting there early if you want to try their simulator!

Very easy getting in this morning. Through security at 8:45 and then in at 9:20.

Does anyone want my tickets for Shuttle 4 this afternoon? I'm now unable to attend. Please contact via DM if you're interested.

I attended yesterday and thought the event was superb overall. I seriously under-estimated the amount of walking and the time needed to do the day justice though and I am paying the price today!

The greatest frustration however was tracking things down and not missing things - I never did manage to find the Class 398 despite thinking I'd been in all of the open buildings? I did ask a number of guys in hi-viz for info and they didn't seem to know.

It was outside, next to the RailAdventure Class 43s and the translator wagons from memory, which I believe was next to the Pendolino.

I saw 2 voyagers through the window of a closed building between the test track and the cl 93 cab ride, any idea which they were? It was 104 I was specifically looking for
221104 is visible only on the cl345 test track ride.

The only part I didn't do was to visit every steamie because of how they spread out. So can anyone confirm if any of the steamies did not attend please or was every one present?

I decided at the end to remove all the test track entries as they no use and it can change. 220033 I've kept though

Believe that these are a couple of cars from 730201...

For anyone low on phone battery I can recommend sitting in the first class section of the pendolino for half an hour. The charging points and WiFi both work.
