Does anyone know what 0Z75 from Laira T&RSMD tomorrow is? I'm assuming it'll probably be a pair of GWR HST powercars, but not too sure.

A move has appeared on RealTimeTrains from West Coast Railways Carnforth Depot to Neville Hill, then to Derby today. Presumably a loco (convoy) collecting a Class 91?

The Knottingley to Litchurch Lane working should be 66301 and a wagon , in gold. They were painted for the Drax celebration.

Confirmed with pictures on the UK HST Enthusiasts Facebook page, 43004 and 43198.

I do wonder how many services are going to be short formed this weekend because their 222 or 158 or 387 or 170 or HST etc are at Litchurch Lane

Having been on a train through Derby yesterday, someone is going to be very, very busy between now and Friday.

Would anyone happen to know what this working is please?
I know a 331 is meant to be attending; so I’m presuming it’s this? Any information gratefully appreciated!

5Z34 is now at Toton, heading for TGG. 37716 hauling 31108, 45108, 44004 and D8.
That is interesting because it suggests 37716 has vacuum brakes as well as air. I was under the mistaken impression that DRS had isolated its vacuum system when owned by them.

Unless of course the 31 or the 45 would translate the brake for it, to control the vac only system on the 44s.

mugs like myself have only just had a chance to book them and now can barely get a thing.
what are you missing out on? Sitting in a pretend train carriage? There is SO much to look at! The site is VAST
Also very disappointed that some days now appear to be better than others with some events only running on that day but there was no information at the time of booking.
That's festivals for you! People need to treat this event as a festival rather than a train open day
Coupled to the tiny bag stuff for people who are expecting to walk around all day outside vs an inside sit down concert / football match coming out and a lot of the other event information just coming out now it feels like it's all being rushed together at the last minute.
I know enthusiasts need to carry around a battered 1987 Head holdall stuffed full of bits of paper but try and travel light. What do you actually NEED to carry to a festival?

Hat, camera, sun cream, wallet, water?

Does anyone know when 59201 is expected to make the jaunt North?

It looks to me like it’s at Merehead and I can’t see any potential diagrams for it on RTT

I get your point, other than medication I have to carry with me and a packed lunch there's nothing else that I'd need to have with me.

I also get there's a need to put some form of restriction on the size of bags, especially given the size of the site, the number of exhibits and the number of people going.

I think my gripe with the bag issue is I don't have a bag that meets the criteria, and I don't know how strict they're going to be with it. I have a 24L backpack, which is by no means massive, but it's slightly over the 20L limit they've set. Are they going to be fine with that, or will I be turned away at the gate?

I try not to stress this sort of thing - I have a normal small laptop backpack - no idea how big it is litre wise so I am taking that. I would expect to be turned away if I turned up with my massive rucksack

68034+88010 arrived around 10.00. Derby station platforms now have barriers.

They've said on Facebook that any rucksack you can carry on your back all day is practically going to be fine. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Also published last night is a calendar of things happening on the site each day with quite a few different talks from various people in the industry of experience as well as business. Chris Green has one which should be interesting for anyone interested in NSE, etc. I'll ignore Sunday lunchtime...

Knowing that many of the attendees will be at least to some extent autistic and thus will want to follow the rules to the absolute letter, they've dropped a massive blooper with the publicity on bag sizes. If you read the full info it says something like "max A4 sized and under 20 litres" which is clearly the result of people talking about things without thinking and writing the wrong thing. A4 size, which is just a very small crossbody or womens' handbag that are typically allowed into gigs where they'd really rather allow nothing but can't do that because womens' clothing often has no pockets, is about 5-6l at most.

They really do need to be a lot clearer about it. The best option would be to specify a size and have sizers if they don't want to be letting big bags in, or alternatively get a company in to do storage if your bag is too big. They really are not appreciating just how much stress being vague on something like this is likely to cause to a significant proportion of the attendees, and also that almost everyone is going to get there by train so can't just go and leave a refused bag in the car.

I get that but it is a bag - try not to get in a state about something so small. Focus on what matters. All that has been done is a transfer of the "door" rules from a concert or small festival venue. Don't over think it.

Just travel light - take only what you NEED.
