That really is appalling.Worth noting that over the first 3 days of the current Lord's test we have lost more than an entire session of play - a total of 32 overs so far.

Indeed. If it had been lost to rain we’d be playing the extra half hour each day to make up time. That really is appalling.
Shamar Joseph was the pick of the W. Indies Bowlers with figures of: 14.3 Overs 4 Maidens 4-33.At the close Aus 225 all out and WIndies 16/1 (or 1/16 for our upside down friends). 82 overs of play.
It really is, especially when you look at the Indians making such a fuss about a bit of timewasting by Zak Crawley last night to lose a whole (checks notes) one over! No self awareness of the part they had played in losing the rest of the overs. Of course, England were also two minutes or more late in being ready to start batting which wasn't right, but the umpires didn't bat an eyelid.Crazy isn't it?
There isn't really, or nothing enforced by the match officials. Yes, you can fine a team, but that doesn't really give the spectators value for money. What's the penalty for a slow over rate in red ball cricket? In the County Champonship they manage 96 overs a day so 90 should be easy providibg it doesn't rain.
Interesting 2 and a half hours left in the England game today. At tea England are 6-175,Root got 40 and Stokes is not out on 27. Curiously England's second best scorer so far is Extras with 31 including 25 byes!
Since they don't seem to be doing anything much to get things moving, perhaps the answer would be to fine the umpires! There isn't really, or nothing enforced by the match officials. Yes, you can fine a team, but that doesn't really give the spectators value for money.
If only the ICC were so forward thinking.Since they don't seem to be doing anything much to get things moving, perhaps the answer would be to fine the umpires!
We'll see, Not looking good though for England, weather doesn't turn until Tuesday too.India 58/4 at the close after bowling Enhland out for 192. With another 135 needed they probably should win but this series certainly isn't predictable. Apart from poor over rates, that is; 82 today.
It’s a poor do when we can’t even rely on the weather. We'll see, Not looking good though for England, weather doesn't turn until Tuesday too.
India seem to be odds-on favourites to win. It’s a poor do when we can’t even rely on the weather.
Having said this, it looks to be an exciting last day.
India 170 all out in their 2nd innings. England win by just 22 runs.India seem to be odds-on favourites to win.
England odds against. Unlikely to be a draw.
No such thing as "just" when you've won!England win by just 22 runs.
India conceded 24 more byes than England over the test match!India 170 all out in their 2nd innings. England win by just 22 runs.
58 overs today, for 112 runs and 6 wickets. On paper that looks like a really boring day of cricket!

Think there was a vain attempt to deflect it away from stumps, which he could do as he hit the ball with the bat, some spin on that ball. All happened very quickly, too.I must have watched that last wicket falling around 20 times now. Such an odd yet satisfying way to finish off a cracking test match![]()
West Indies
143 all out (52.1)
27 all out (14.3)
Australia
225 all out (70.3)
121 all out (37.0)
Australia win by 176 runs.
Pick of the Aussie bowlers: Starc 6 for 9 (7.3ovs)
I put the live coverage on to see the last rites, after the tea break. Australia even managed to drop a catch in the slips. And Scott Boland took a hat trick as well. West Indies batting is absolutely woeful but that was unplayable bowling on a helpful pitch
I think it's one of the strangest wickets I've ever seen in a test match, let alone at such a crucial point.Heh, very true! I’m now paying for how intriguing it was by still working now.
