No. The whole point is to name the station after the hero i.e. London Betjeman.

Pardon my ignorance...under what definition of "heroes" such as Drake, does Paul Lambert enter this thread? What "heroic" acts did he perform? As far as I can see, he was born in Paisley and is only 41 years of age.

I have just remembered a very important hero to commemorate.......
Hendon Bader....after the World War II flying ace who still flew after losing both his legs prior to the war.

On the Tyne and Wear Metro it would have been better if Stadium of Light had been been closer to the ground and called Stokoe or Porterfield.
I know Turing has been mentioned for Manchester, how about Bletchley Turing in honor of his work at Station X, Bletchley Park

well he did bloody well getting back to back promotions with that Norwich side.
