Redhill

Traction:
377, 387 Link 1 only
Routes:
Redhill - Reigate
Redhill - London Bridge and London Victoria
Redhill - Three Bridges
Purley - Caterham

Link 1
Three Bridges - Bognor via Horsham
Three Bridges - Ore

Link 2
Norwood Junction - Sutton
Redhill - Tonbridge
Purley - Tattenham Corner
London Victoria - West Croydon via Crystal Palace

Eastbourne
Traction
Add 387

Three Bridges
Traction
Add 387

Barnham drivers also sign via Eastleigh

Top link on Plymouth GWR now sign Penzance.

A few SN ones:

Brighton Drivers pick up the Arun Valley (Three Bridges - Ford via Horsham) when they join Link 3.

Eastbourne don’t sign London Bridge - East Croydon in either link. They also sign Brighton - Wivelsfield and both East Croydon - Gatwick via either the Quarry Lines or Redhill.

Looking at Buxton's diagrams at the moment this is what they sign, will update when I can get hold of the May TT diagrams if there are any changes.

Traction:
150-156-195-323(training underway)-331

Routes:
Buxton - Manchester Piccadilly via Hazel Grove + Stockport

Manchester Piccadilly - Manchester Airport

Manchester Piccadilly - Preston via Chorley + Golborne/Wigan

Preston - Blackpool North

Bolton - Wigan Wallgate/Wigan North
Western via Westhoughton

No booked work via Golborne to Wigan (this gets covered in route refresh days afaik). One diagram covers Wigan to Preston in both directions however.

2 trips to Wigan Wallgate - 1 of which is an in cab route refresh

I didn't think they'd sign 195s but they have quite a bit of work on the Barrows and Windermeres between Manchester and Preston.

They currently have a "Refresh" on 1Y61 - 20:22 Blackpool to Manchester Airport - this is booked as a 323 and it goes via Chorley. For me, this a telling sign that they are learning 323s.

They don't sign Alderley Edge and haven't done for a few years, I think they lost it during COVID and now all the work has transferred and stuck with Piccadilly. The guards at Buxton still sign it and have two trips down there.

I mistakenly said further upthread that Buxton had lost Blackpool, I got this wrong and what happened is their work there dramatically dropped but it has since increased again and they now have 5 jobs going there.

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

I have since found more info on Piccadilly for Northern. As per my previous post, Link 2 + 3 are correct. Link 1 is pretty much correct but there are a couple of changes:

Link 1

Manchester Piccadilly - Chester via Altrincham

Manchester Victoria/Manchester Oxford Road - Preston via Chorley + Golborne/Wigan

Manchester Victoria - Manchester Oxford Road via Ordsall Chord + Salford Crescent

Crewe - Kidsgrove via Alsager

Manchester Piccadilly - Newton Heath TMD via Ashburys + Phillips Park

Manchester Victoria - Newton Heath TMD via Miles Platting

Also Norwood drivers no longer sign via Brixton.

Thank you all, I've updated all of these, plus some extra changes at GWR I've been made aware of additional to those that were already mentioned as coming in for the new timetable.

Grand Central Sunderland drivers no longer sign Heaton Depot, they have used Tyne Yard for a couple years now. They also sign Newcastle to Northallerton via Durham for diversions.

Thanks. I'm on holiday at the moment but I'll update it soon.
Interesting - I work for TfW and it's the first I've heard of it. I knew we were getting a traincrew depot at Taffs Well but it's the first I've heard of Barry. Quite a few Cardiff traincrew live out that way as well so if it really is happening it'll be popular I'm sure.

Hi, can anyone confirm if the routes for Southeastern's Dartford depot are still correct? Thanks :)

Thanks. I had a suspicion the starter link at Brighton was a bit more restrictive than what I'd listed. It's nice to have it confirmed.
Request to add 701s as present traction on the SWR depots tab. Thanks
Done. I suspect not every depot on the list has actually started learning them yet given the issues involved, but until I'm told otherwise I've listed them as current on all the depots that were meant to be learning them.
Hi, can anyone confirm if the routes for Southeastern's Dartford depot are still correct? Thanks :)
I know next to nothing with what happens darn sarf, so as with the 701s at SWR I'm relying on others to confirm the exact details. That said, I did get some comprehensive information about Southeastern only a year ago that two local experts confirmed for me, so the likelihood is it's pretty accurate.

This one has come completely out of the blue, even for an employee. I've added it in and assumed it will be the same routes and traction as per the other Valleys depots.

Hi, for TPE can someone correct me if this is outdated? I was first under the impression that TPE also operated 185s from NCL depot, and some services continued towards Liverpool? Or does service typically terminate at Leeds, with those travelling towards Manchester/Liverpool being covered by drivers from York Depot?

Seems to me as though route coverage from NCL is very limited according to this?

Newcastle:
Traction:
802
Routes:
Edinburgh - Newcastle (High Level Bridge and King Edward Bridge) - Leeds (via Micklefield)

Newcastle is correct they don’t sign past Leeds meaning they don’t need to sign 185s. York, Liverpool and Hull link drivers at Manchester can take the train from Leeds to Liverpool.

As with many other depots, TPE cut back the route knowledge for Newcastle during Covid as they ran reduced timetables and simplified the variety of rolling stock operated over different routes.

Newcastle drivers now only sign 802s (they lost 185s one or two years ago IIRC) and only drive them to Edinburgh, or to York/Leeds where they would indeed hand them over to a York/Liverpool/Manchester driver.

They did gain additional knowledge of the diversionary route via Castleford to Leeds but that's nothing compared to what they lost.

Just curious - now 802s are being used on the line between York and Scarborough, can anyone clarify whether all the depots that sign Scarborough also sign 802s? Thanks :)

Nope.

Depots that sign Scarbourough
York (All Links)
Picc (Scarborough Link)
Scarborough

I’m not 100% sure if Picc Scarborough Link sign 802s or if it is just the Hull Link at Picc

York is only the 802 Link that signs 802s

Scarborough is 185 only

All 802 work to Scarborough is York guards + drivers work

Is that for potential use for the Camp Hill line?

Out of interest do you guys sign all variations of the Snow Hill route or just one of the northern terminuses?

Galton not connected with the camp hill work. Just a route that was took off in error but the mistake is now being corrected.

Moor st is due to the cross cover agreement between depots

As regards snow hill lines Worcester drivers don’t go beyond Dorridge but sign the rest.
