How did your interview go?

Many what would you do in this situation questions and what do you think a train drivers role is. What demands does a driver face. It's felt more like a chat than an interview tbh

DMI interview i thought was the easiest part, no stress, just a chat, it's for them to see if you are the right person for the role. They will ask you some "tell me a time" questions, they just want to see how you'd react in these scenarios, there's no right or wrong answers per say (just remember its a safety critical job) And they will ask you what you know about the company, when I did mine I knew alot anyways but I just jumped on Wikipedia and did a quick read up.

Apart from that it's a chat, they will tell you what they expect of you through the training etc and what the role is like ie shifts etc.

It's the easiest part of the whole process so don't sweat it.

There may be a bit more insight to the DMI in the assessments section.

Hello mate can you remember how long you waited for an answer from your interview. I've been told that if I've not heard in two weeks to contact them.

Completely depends, you could sit in a talent pool for a while, you'd hear if you were not proceeding anymore so I always say no news is good news. But I agree email them to enquire.

Yes luckily I passed, I had my interview on the 5th of June

Yeah barnham mate and tes I've done it.
It's nothing to worry about just loads of questions asking different things and you have to pick if you agree or disagree

Had my MMI yesterday I heared someone got a call back the day after he did his but that was beginning of June I think. I’m anxiously waiting to hear cos I feel like my MMI didn’t go so well ://

Thank you! They sent the part 3 of the assessment booklet again, which I think I got the first time around for the psychometrics

Does anyone know what the MMI criteria you are assessed on consists of? I had mine Friday and have been overthinking everything since and have a feeling that I have failed again

Hey! I felt like it went well, I was told it’ll take around a week for my result. I know that the longer time passes, the worse I’ll feel about how I did haha

Don't look into how long it takes, no news is good news.

I applied in 2020 and didn't get put through till Oct 2024, my case was abnormal though as I applied right before covid but by 2022 I thought it was just not happening than 2024 as I say they put me through.

So im now a advocate for dont give up, no news is good news.

Just got the email to say I passed my MMI. Email states I’m now in the talent pool and I need to reply with my 2 preferred depots, if I applied for the Barnham vacancy will I still get Barnham?

I am currently on my training course at Selhurst and work for Southern. I finish there in 3 weeks then should be with a DI. From what I hear there seems to be a shortage of DI’s but courses will still be going ahead here and at Worthing. My instructor says his next course is in January.

You will get a DI, they have taken on more now and theres other DIs becoming available
