This passes my house later this evening. Any idea what locos are on it?

Highlights:
Haverfordwest-Pwllheli is via Newport rather than Llandrindod
Crosses Barmouth Bridge four times (early morning shuttle to Tywyn and back to dodge the service trains)

The Cambrian workings are intriguing. I imagine at least one class 37 / 97 fitted with ETCS / ERTMS will be required, but probably a second loco due to "single source failure" or whatever it is known as. If this is the Network Rail 97/3s, there are only three now, so this will presumably need at least two of them serviceable at Coleham for the Cambrian portion of the Britannic timetable. How often is it planned to run down the Cambrian in the season ?

EDIT or would a GBRf 66/7 be considered as the second loco even though it would not be able to lead, neither would it be able to multi to a 97/3 in the way 37405 seems to visit the Cambrian regularly on the Chirk logs.

See Belmond's web site, fortnightly from 21/07 I recall.
2215 at Pwllheli is a bit late to go and welcome it at my age. Anyone else along the route?

GBRf may be fitting locos with ETCS for the East Coast Mainline implementation (not sure if they have any flows that would need the signals-away section), so perhaps the Class 97s are a short-term measure?

AIUI, ETCS fitted for the ECML would need to be Baseline 3, so would be compatible with the Baseline 2 infrastructure on the Cambrian.

Bad news for those of us who live here: the Belmond train at Barmouth injected a half hour delay into the Cambrian Coast this morning from which the service trains have still not recovered.

I think the first run is Friday 13th June:

Seems a rather complicated pathing. Why was London Victoria chosen for departure when it isn't the obvious London Terminal for any of the routes operated?

Belmond already have some sort of passenger welcoming facility on P1 at Victoria as used by their British Pullman passengers.

Really doesn't matter as the train is not really going anywhere very fast, with a 75mph 66 or an 80mph 69 on the front, and is really all about luxury leisure. Furthermore the guests wouldn't be wanting to spill their soup or champers.

As the "Darlo Rich" above says Victoria is set up for handling "poshexes", so it all makes sense.

Cabins from £6,300!

Words fail me.

You could fly to Australia and back six times for that.
You could have a fortnight in a 5 star Barbados hotel with flights for that.
You could fly to Dubai and back in Emirates First Class for that and have enough money left for a weekend in a decent hotel there!

They don’t fail me. Belmond / LVMH has its target market, and they have so far succeeded with their other operations.

Anyway, let’s not turn this into yet another price bashing thread which ends up being locked again.

Do we know if it ended up solely at Stewart’s Lane or a late night run back to Eastleigh occurred last night?

The Eastleigh move did happen…5Z21 arrived there at 2201.

RTT shows 1B90 from Victoria arriving Haverfordwest 22:44 on the 21st and 28th July, then the 4th and 18th August. What it does not appear to show is any of these trains ever leaving HVF again. Am I missing something?

Perhaps the return path hasn't been published because it's still waiting for confirmation of something?

Paths do appear in RTT for workings associated with this but they don't generally happen or they become a light engine. A GBRf 66 is on the way from Tonbridge to Victoria now, and there is a path for a train to Bishops Lydeard, but there's no stock in Victoria so it's now running light in the path and the 'passenger' path cancelled.
