Has stagecoach started using a double decker on one of there day time 53s as ones always on that route now or it's because it works with a busier service in the evening

Some observations from Grimsby in recent days (sorry no pictures this time)...
19075, which some sources say was the last Stagecoach bus anywhere to receive a full repaint into Local livery, hasn't been in service for some time, and is now parked up in depot with bits missing. I don't have access to anything official, but it looks like it could be the end for another from this batch.
Meanwhile, the ex-West Scotland MMC deckers have settled into service well, with all seeing service almost daily, unlike the batch from Gainsborough, which hasn't done well from when they arrived in January/February!
With the MMC deckers doing well, the B7 saloons continue to dwindle, with only 8 of the batch new to First having tracked today, along with 3 of the batch new to Cambridge, so from originally 24 of the type only 11 have been out today. Catch them while you can if they're your thing!

10896 has finally awoken from its slumbers. According to bustimes it did part diagrams on Friday and Saturday, and is in the yard today looking ready to go out

It must've had a serious problem to be out of service for 3 months! And then to only manage part of a running board for a couple of days before being off again, she's looking like Grimsby depot's 'lemon' just now.
Update on Hull's we've got you repaints
On 8th May 26172 YX67 VHD entered service - Surprisingly seats didn't get new seat coverings unlike the other single deckers that have been done so far
On 20th May 11762 YX73 OZK entered service
On 22nd May 11695 YX73 OXJ entered service
In other news
On 9th May 37217 SN64 OKS entered service in Gainsborough which had transfered from Stagecoach East with 27205 YY64 GVJ going the other way
More hybrids have entered service at Skegness as 12016 OU10GHG and 12024 OU10GFX have entered service in addition to 12017 OU10 GHH and 12053 MX60 BVV
I have also heard that 19107 MX07 HMG has now moved to Skegness depot
According to route one as part the additional ZEBRA 2 funding that was announced at the start of April of the 36 electric buses that Hull will receive, 20 will be double deckers with the other 16 being single deckers. Mansfield will receive 42 electric buses with 33 being double deckers and the other 9 being single deckers

Here is 26256 in all its glory, seen at Grimsby Riverhead this morning 30/5/25 taking over a diagram on the 3s and 4s from 19018 behind.
Meanwhile the other photo shows 19172 in George Street, again this morning 30/5/25. Someone told me recently it had been repainted, but as can be seen it hasn't

I heard 19172 had been repainted to do I decided to take a ride on it to find out it hadn’t aswell. Glad it’s still got the different seats at the minute as I quite like them

The 200 MMCs seem to be a bit hit and miss. There are one or two that the screens and announcements don't work at all (think it's the tracking, as they show generic Stagecoach app/Twitter etc messages), there are one or two that do the full works properly, but most have the announcements but the screen only shows the 'this is...' messages.
(I'll be honest, while there's still the possibility of a choice, if I can I'll let a bus with announcements go and catch a quiet bus, but that's a subject that's been done to death in other threads so let's stay on topic
)
