If they manage to confine the 47s to one set of stock, it makes life easier for the rest of us!
And for those of us going for the 47s as well :) though with no 31s or 16-wheeled Sulzers there's nothing I'm violently opposed to having a chug along behind if necessary.

And now a pair of Rail Adventure powercars are announced as attending the gala.

(Picture shows a pair of Rail Adventure powercars)

They look to have gone all-out with this gala!

Note that it is Saturday only as they are at the railway anyway after bringing some of the locos. I believe after last year when they did the same but didn't get used and lots of requests were made.

Well I can go to the gala on the Friday as I'm booked on a tour out of Crewe Saturday morning. So if the 70 and the Colas 37 is 116 and only 116 will do I might roll up, lucky them :D

Thursday's timetable is now up on the KWVR event page, with a mystery logo marked "TBC". Anyone know what it might be?
Well they have just announced a Class 70 is coming from Freightliner.

Certainly no shortage of traction on offer.

Anyone wanting the power cars and the 70 will have to attend for two days - smart move by the KWVR.

Will be good if the 20 is ready in time for the gala. More EE traction! :D

Well that's me probably out then, can't do Sunday and I'm pretty sure the rest won't be worth it

I have to say, having the 70 as Sunday is a bit dirty, as it pretty much rules out anyone using public transport to attend the gala from seeing it, as Sunday train travel is pretty much a no-go by Northern at the moment.

I'm fairly certain it isn't intentional and is just it happens to be possible that day.

It depends where you are travelling from. Northern on the East Side, including trains through Keighley, are largely unaffected by the traincrew issues on the West side and generally operate as normal on Sundays. It's buses which are a pain as they don't seem to start until around lunchtime in that part of West Yorkshire.

Anyone know when the KWVR's Class 101 DMU is next due an outing?
As soon as possible! It developed some electrical wiring faults and a faulty sensor which have been attended to over recent weekends and I think is having a final check over this weekend.

Look for Green timetables although it is currently more likely to be the 144.
Green, Orange and Purple timetables all include a DMU diagram, which does mean that between them, the 101 or 144 will be out all day 7 days a week over the summer, which I suspect will be a bit cosy at weekends, especially Saturdays. Yellow is a DMU all day. Blue tends to be DMU in the autumn and winter with loco hauled the rest of the time.

Playing devil's advocate here, it may just be the only day when Freightliner have a driver spare to crew it

Generally I've found trains to Keighley from Leeds to be fine even on Sundays. My problem for the gala is getting to Leeds from York. It's looking like Coastliner both Saturday and Sunday for me.

20007 and 20205 added to the line up.

I think I'll have to change my plans and attend on the Friday for the better traction offering.

There is a chunk of Saturday where consecutive services are 47 - Power Cars - 47 - Power Cars

Friday's "TBC + TBC" could be a trio of 20s.

Does anyone know when the incoming move for 20007 is happening please?

I think it’s currently in Norfolk at one of the pres lines there (or was recently)?

Trains are running between York and Leeds just diverted via Castleford due to electrifying the line between Church Fenton and Micklefield. If that’s any help.
