After 5 months, the speed restriction has been removed. After so long driving at 20mph, I had to really think how to stop at Forest Gate after travelling at line speed. Lol.
Did there have to be a special possession for the TSR removal, or was it done during normal Section 5 windows? Thanks.
I'm not sure, but it was a two track railway between Maryland and Ilford/Romford for most of Sunday and they were busy working on it during all of my shift.Did there have to be a special possession for the TSR removal, or was it done during normal Section 5 windows? Thanks.

Use of the mains was (partly) the subject of the recent RAIB report into an over-speeding incident.Do you ever get to use the main (fast lines)
Do you ever get to use the main (fast lines) I remember once I was on a 378 which ran non stop Norwood jct to New Cross Gate partly on the fasts. Very rare.
Yes. I was on nights recently and was on the mains (stopping at all stations) from Shenfield to Liverpool Street. It was nice to stretch the 345 up 90mph in places.Do you ever get to use the main (fast lines) I remember once I was on a 378 which ran non stop Norwood jct to New Cross Gate partly on the fasts.
