So how many assessments will be there in total ?

To be honest I can't remember about task 8, some of it was done in October and November.

With the assessments they're looking for certain skills or personalities which may pick up those skills easier. So not all correct but I'd say maybe 85% and above. That's an educated guess though.

I completed the digital / virtual interview and received a email for the next stage to have a face to face interview. I really want this role and don't want to mess it up. Do you remember what questions they asked you and roughly how many interviewing questions were there if your able to give out information on here would be grateful or if you prefer to email me?

Some of the Arctic Shores assessments are purposely difficult and some purposely easier so don't worry about them. I can't remember if it was virtual interview or face to face interview after the online game assessments but it's one of the two.

I’ve just had my face to face interview last week I don’t feel very confident however the interviewer was asking me about my notice period etc and then telling me about the job at the end of the interview is this just something they say to everyone because this job would change my life completely ❤️

Yes I got the job! All went really well, the two interviewers were really nice and explained that if I didn't understand any of the questions, because say they used 'rail language', then they could explain. All really friendly. The virtual interviews were a while back for me: I think five questions and you get an unlimited amount of time to prep, and once you hit record you get 2-minutes to answer, and can redo it once. I think after the virtual interview, there's two more stages, one more of online tests, and then a face-to-face interview. Have you done your virtual tests with Arctic Shore yet? I can't remember if that was before or after the virtual interviews. If it was before, there's only one stage left after!

Was a couple of weeks to be honest not long at all really they just kept putting the date back and I finally had my face to face but unfortunately didn’t get the job which I’m terribly gutted about but we live and learn suppose 5 years of being a conductor isn’t enough experience or my face didn’t fit

I would like to know the shift pattern too. Nothing online, done my online interview waiting to hear back.

I'm still in the training phase (onboarding to doing the job 'proper' is very detailed and lengthy) so I'm probably not best-placed to answer correctly. But, it's a 7-day week, i.e. Sunday forms part of the normal working week unlike other TOCs, and you work a 41-hour week. From what I've seen, this is almost always over 4 or 5 days per 7-day week. I'm not sure you'd ever work a 6-day week. It's 26 Sundays per year, and I'm not sure about Saturdays but I'd assume around the same.

Rumors within, could be wrong. However it's coming in the future that's for sure.

There might well be a move to bring Sundays inside as GBR is established, but hard to see it being as soon as this year or early next. That’s not to say it wouldn’t be desirable, just that the cost is likely to be a stumbling block.

I would bet good money that in five years time, although the TOCs will have disappeared, Sunday working arrangements for traincrew will still be a mixed bag.
