I think it looks good, will be great to see something somewhat different as Northern don't have many (if any) special liveries on their trains!

It's the first unit to undergo C6 overhaul. Nothing special, just normal time based maintenance.

Should be 156475 which never got no further than Nuneaton last week due to a G-SMR fault before being dragged back to Wolverton on Sunday.

Just passed through Northallerton looking slick and span. Just odd seeing a 156 pass through at 75mph, almost like slow motion compared to everything else

I'm surprised. I'd have expected works to be complete by now considering that works on 006 started in early February.

The first in any class to be refurbished always takes much longer than the rest of the fleet will take when it’s their turn

Northern struggling with availability more than usual this week it seems . Numerous two car short forms on the Calder Valley. In the last couple of weeks I've been on at least six 195/1 running on two engines , latest 133 on Monday and a couple of 195/0 on one engine when paired up .
None of the recently C6'd three car 158s 752 to 757 appear to have turned a wheel in traffic this midweek , only 759 of the "threes" in use ; I don't know if they're stopped for checks post C6 or have collapsed en masse ?!

Instead of our usual exclusive 3 car 195s on Hope Valley this afternoon we have one 3 car 195, a 2 car 150 and a 2 x 150 formation - averaging 3 car. One return cancellation and timekeeping is poor.

Ripples of unserviceable stock seem to be spreading.

Not really. A lot of testing as all of the wiring had to be renewed (happy fire brigade with an axe).
