What happened there then? I don't recall hearing of a Northern 150 having a thermal event.

Ah yes I remember now. Assumed that would either have already been back, or consigned to history to be honest, didn't realise it was so long ago.

Yes - I think it's still at Skipton?
Still in Broughton Road at Skipton, the internal roof panels are still all down, the TfX external screens are in and working on the ends and the middle vehicles for the destination, the old destination screens on the sides of the cab vehicles are still in situ displaying Leeds

I imagine these are going to get boarded up or removed?

Well there's 15 others so will definitely get 333s with the original PIS on the Doncaster Line considering they start on Sunday, if the stars align you may get all 15 of them

Are the 195 suffering from engine replacement issues like the 196s are currently having?

Engine replacement issues? Can you elaborate?
As in sourcing new engines as the 196s need their engines replaced once they reached 500,000 miles hence why there was (not sure if it's affecting the 196s now) shortage of 196s at the start of the year

Slightly off topic but 195133 is heading for Sellafield tonight. Looks like some sort of trial to suss out 3-car 195 operation, possibly for when the route is closed at Whitehaven at the end of August?

I think you are right! The regular units will be trapped north of Whitehaven with no one signing via the WCML it will be hard to get units south
Everyone at Barrow signs 195s
Trains can be turned easily at Sellafield
Buses can arrive without having to use narrow winding country lanes such as at St Bees or the even smaller stations

Half of 155346 seen on a low-loader heading South today? C6 Wolverton or Long Marston? Why a low-loader I wonder? No ROG crews sign 155's?

Long Marston is currently shut to rail traffic, so had to send it by road.
Thank you!

Has 156402 finally succumbed to "ex Anglia corrosion" at Newton Heath? Not seen it out and about for a good while now, whilst all the others continue to rack up the mileage every day! At a guess 402 / 412 / 418 / 419 & 422 must be the most "structurally challenged" of the NH 156 fleet?

Not strictly re-furbishment but aligned with it- it appears that the constant shortfalls in 769 availability, together with the ongoing corrosion re-furbs, 150218 still not back, and several 195's stopped for engine shortages, mean that 150210 has crossed the Pennines and is working off NH.

156402 has scrap wheelsets (there is no meat left on them to turn on the lathe). It's due a C4 half-life at Heaton this/next week and will be one journey only for this where it will get new wheelsets.

Due to the recent timetable change there has been a couple of transfers between depots.

150210 has returned to Newton Heath, with 150220 due to go the other way in July.

156441 will go to Heaton in July whilst 158791 has already gone back to Neville Hill.
