And they're back!! Lolly and Splash have re-entered service as expected.
Photos show 16962 "Lolly the Seasider" and 16965 "Splash the Seasider" at Cleethorpes Pier on Saturday 5th April 2025
I was on them yesterday Lolly Sounds the same but Noticed Splash sounds even more unhealthy then he did last year whenever the bus tried to change gears there would be a jolt and an awful squealing sound . Also noticed that he’s not out today

Is the wanderer returning? 26255 is currently tracking on the 250, having taken over the board from 26268. 26255 had started out on a 350 board this morning, which is now being worked by MAN 24200.

As the 250s are all worked from Grimsby, without another convoluted swap later today, 26255 will be in Grimsby at least until Monday.
Hopefully it’s out on some local routes then

She was new to First West Yorkshire in May 2004. If you want answers to questions like this, Bus Lists On The Web (BLOTW) is your friend. You can search by various options and find very specific details.

From Manchester for Grimsby (was originally Worksop)

19227/228/30/32
From East Scotland, presumably for the new Spalding IT services.

According to bustimes 19230 entered service at Worksop on Saturday and is back out again today.

Not sure if it has been recorded on here, but 19533 now has its full branding and slogans.

USB charging? I doubt very much that they’ve fitted that to that vehicle - happy to be proven wrong

Hull will be receiving more electric buses.

Today (Tuesday 8 April 2025), the Government confirmed it has made £3,907,844 available to increase the scope of the region’s ZEBRA2 (zero emission bus regional areas) project and enable the purchase of 42 more electric buses for use in the city – bringing the total number of new electric buses that will soon be operating in the region to 82.

They are due this year - 40 were initially funded, 19 for Stagecoach and 21 for East Yorkshire (if I got that the right way round!). This new funding adds 42 more, again split between the two operators.

I believe Mansfield will be getting more too from this new round of funding.
Mansfield were already due some with the original funding but can’t remember how many

The double deckers should be Enviro400EVs and the single deckers Enviro200EVs(10.9m)
I believe the E200s are no longer coming as they can't be built in time for the funding to apply, Yutongs are coming instead

Does anybody think if pronto will get any electrics or is the route too long for them
I think it's not so much the length of the route as the duration that the bus will be running. For instance, a bus could go on a round trip of maybe five miles and do this perhaps up to twenty times a day, and I reckon it would probably consume as much energy as another bus might run a twenty-mile round trip ten times during the same period. But bus services that run for longer might struggle without additional vehicles.

Good point can see the single decker electric on the 53 though only 5 full round trips plus charging time at Sheffield

Seen a photo on Facebook of 19243 (and potentially 19233 - unsure fully) now being at Grimsby. 19239 and 240 are also apparently here, as is 19196 from Skegness, leaves 195/206 to move from Skegvegas to Grimsby

Not sure if the chargers at Sheffield Interchange are open to any operator, but I've only seen them used by the free city bus. Considering Stagecoach now run multiple EVs in to Sheffield that makes me wonder if they would be able to recharge there.

That said, if the 53 / Pronto / whatever went electric then I'd imagine they'd just do what Stagecoach Yorkshire have done with the X17 and alter the diagrams to swap the buses around. As the X17 starts early, ends late, is a long route and features steep hills and motorway running yet is in the process of going electric then I can't see any other service being impossible to change.

19239 and 19240 are now in service, tracking on the 8 and the 50 respectively.

I've also read (on Facebook) Grimsby are collecting 9 Enviro 400 MMCs from Kilmarnock this Sunday. Looking at bustimes.org I suspect these are 10907-12/14-16. Don't know how true this is however! :)

You could just add a one or two vehicles to the pronto and step back at Mansfield looking at the current diagrams they seem to interwork between the long and short runs.

Do you know if Grimsby collected any MMCs today?
