Enhanced rates at SWR are in place but as a RDW agreement.

For it to be a condition is shocking. Means it can never change unless some silly sod sells it!

Seems they were on flat rate previously, quite surprising they managed to get it as a t&c, unless they sold some productivity back

But the general ASLEF position is that they won’t sanction overtime in lieu of a RDW agreement, so in practice I’m not sure it makes much difference whether it’s in the Ts and Cs or not.

For the involuntary overtime I suppose that will make more of a difference, yes, but that’s generally part of Ts and Cs in any case?

Agreed on involuntary, but on RDW I have been at GWR and now SWR, and RDW rates have been dropped before coming back years later.

Every TOC hates them, which is why they are not t&c’s.

I can see ASLEF trying to put them back in, but you would have to sell something, to get in there.

RPI plus a 100+50% as a t&c?

What were they looking for? They did not sell anything back?
This signing covered two deals in effect, the disputed RDW agreement(now agreed and signed off at same time) and the long delayed 2024 pay deal. The RDW agreement I believe is till 2026 now and that's where I think the main 1.5x addition has come.

I don't truly think they've had to sell anything back but someone will come along to confirm possibly.

I can confirm that nothing has been sold back. The RDW agreement is until 29th August 2026.
