HD04 not going to Crewe tonight then which it was originally planned to. One less set for them to worry about.

Change of plan today for HD01. HD01 is on the diagram starting with 1V31. It was meant to go on the wheel lathe today however, that has now been changed to Friday and HD05 should follow suite afterwords.

That was said in post #1551 ;). It should stick to the 1V31 diagram for a couple of days to get the Crewe finish, and the loco being swapped to 014 tonight.

Pleased to say I'm having a fantastic journey in First Class! The breakfast was amazing and absolutely delicious. It's also very quiet in here. Seems to be mostly train crew training that are sat in here! All in all a great experience.

It is regularly 2 - 3 coaches on all services out of Llanharan and most days it's heavily busy. Especially when it is carrying the load from all the Swanline stops before it!

The sets are used correctly though, I cannot go after anyone for that, Cardiff to Manchester and vice versa desperately needs it. It looks today that almost every arrival into Manchester from Crewe with TfW was 5 coaches, with the one off 2 coach 197. If they work correctly, they're brilliant.

My swanline journey this morning was a 3 car 197 and got very very busy as it got close to Cardiff especially from Bridgend onwards. It took quite a while to get off platform.0 and down the steps due to volume of passengers..so yes can see the likes of Llanharan and Pontyclun are very well used especially with commuters going to Cardiff.

Luckily I had a good 20 minutes or so to get to platform 1 for the MK4 So plenty of time.

Glad it all worked out in the end. The train is often quite a quiet one in first, half term possibly makes it more so.
It is certainly a really good product/experience when it all works.

Thank you. I overheard the train crew saying it was touch and go whether it would be a MK4 So was very lucky. Tomorrow my journey home is booked 197 so fingers crossed a good journey then too.

HD01+67014 In service out of Cardiff
HD02+67020 In service out of Crewe
HD04+67029 In service out of Crewe
HD06+67016 In service out of Cardiff
HD07+67013 In service out of Holyhead

HD03 is stopped on Saturday and Sunday for minor exam, HD05 is planned to head to Crewe ETD tomorrow for tyre turning so will be there over the weekend.

Sunday has HD01 and HD02 available at Canton with HD04 and HD06 available at Crewe so will be one from each pair on the Sunday diagrams.
