Me again, now waiting on my assessment centre appointment. Looks like NW were happy with my video interview. Chuffed.
For anyone checking this thread for info on the application process and generally what to expect, I'll list what I can remember below:
After entering your details with the initial application, you are progressed to online assessments. These are basically a few tests to understand your multi-tasking ability, and who you are and how you deal with certain things. Can't remember what this stage was called however after this, you will get your results in a report that tells you a bit about yourself and if the skills you have match what role you have applied for. Mine was 'Somewhat suitable' to a G2 Trainee Signaller. Then I received an email within the same minute of completing the first part advising me I was invited to a Video Interview. The video interview was a pre-recorded lady asking questions similar to a normal face-to-face job interview. The only difference is I had to record my answers and hit submit once I was happy with my response. You only get 2 attempts at this for each question asked! If you don't like the first attempt and decide to try again, the second attempt will need to be submitted. You cannot go back to attempt #1.
I got asked 4 questions, I can't remember them word-for-word but along the lines of, 'tell me about a time you were in a stressful situation. What was it? How did you cope with the stress? What was the outcome?', 'Tell me about a mistake you have made in the past. What was it? What did you do to rectify it and how are you sure the same mistake won't happen again?' --- General interview questions. I would suggest thinking about a few scenarios where you were responsible for something, where you were in a stressful situation, any conflict with a colleague etc. ]
Best of luck
