There must be some cheesed off drivers and fitters in Grimsby at the moment.
They've received 5 MMCs that look nice but struggle to leave the depot, 3 ex Manchester e400s of which 19533 hasn't run for over a fortnight, and 19207 from Skegness that last worked on the same day as 19533!
Of the acquisitions only 19383,19393 and 19531 seem in any way reliable.
And to think the original plan was to give Grimsby relatively brand new Enviro 400 MMCs!

Much better today on the Enviro 400 MMC reliability front in Grimsby, 4 of the 5 are out!

Looks like 19210 has finally arrived at Grimsby, and by the missing engine cover is in need of some work!

Photo shows vehicle 19210 (identified from rear advert) in the yard of Grimsby depot on 4th February 2025

Bustimes are showing 19578/9/83 and 37199 on the East Midlands fleet list already, but not yet in service

19588/90/93/94 will also be moving to East Midlands from Bedford.
They've been replaced by Scanias from Cambridge

19578/79/83 and 37199 left today, however 19578 broke down on the A14 at Huntingdon the way up.
I don't know which depot they're heading to

Seen some posts on Facebook groups suggesting Lincoln as the destination

Apparently 22544 has arrived at Hull for service replacing 19489 which has gone back to its own depot

Not sure how true as it's from a different source at the depot

Can anyone confirm if 22544 is there and 19489 has gone?

19489 has been tracking in Hull today but doesn’t mean it actually was 19489

Seen a picture on the bustimes.org discord that 19523 is in the new Stagecoach livery before it enters service at Scunthorpe

Interesting if 22544 has arrived for service as it was withdrawn at Barnsley after engine failure. It was the last bus new to Yorkshire Traction’s old Shafton depot to be running.

Based on the tracking from past few days 19489 has left Hull and gone to Gainsborough where it was originally instead to enter service after its move from Manchester.

Saw a decker (19xxx Enviro400) in the paint shop at Grimsby this afternoon. Was viewed from the public walkway at the opposite side of the dock, so couldn't see any fleet or registration numbers, but looks like painting done, ready for removing masking tape and applying transfers etc. Tried to get a picture but was too far away to see well.

Didn't know we had the ability to paint at Grimsby! 19210 is still round the back of the depot, hasn't been moved since the image posted a few days ago

Yeah, the smaller single vehicle shed with the 2 metal chimney/vents is a paint shop. Know they were sending Grimsby stuff to Hull or Lincoln for a while, probably since the first purple single decks (21270-274) were done. Perhaps the new livery is more priority to roll out than "Local" was? Just happened to be in sight when the shutters were up and there it was, definitely in use. Assuming it's something Grimbarian, it could be 19207 or 19533 which haven't tracked since 10 January, or 19200 which last tracked in Skegness on 28 January.

Ah yes I know which part you mean now! I saw it open when I was in the fishing heritage centre car park about an hour ago and did see the E400 you've said. The colour looked relatively dark to me so it's probably our first "we've got you" livery

19207 tracked on the last 2 of yesterday after 19052 failed on Corporation Road so possibly not 19207 that was repainted

26271 appears to have broken down whilst in Hull on Saturday, was replaced with 24187 to operate to Grimsby - this was then replaced with double decker 10899 upon arrival into Grimsby.

Later on 26265 was replaced by 10900 - meaning two double deckers operating on the two fifty route which I don’t think has ever happened before.

Don't think it's happened on a normal "off season" day; regular for things like Hull Fair or special events though.

Another decker on it today, 19044 is tracking on it

26271 was swapped back over in Hull this morning for 24187 but then failed again in Grimsby - yet twofifty branded 26265 was on the 3/4s all day
Some days it feels like they had a bad morning at the depot with all sorts of unusual allocations. We get purple buses absolutely everywhere, not helped by Grimsby's purple (Interconnect) routes not being on "self contained" boards. And the blue ("250") buses get everywhere too, as there's no difference between them and the other MMCs. The other day there was even a decker (19172 I think) tracking on the Saltfleet, which once upon a time would've been something like a Solo or small Dart!

But I suppose at the end of the day, any bus is better than no bus, as long as it's safe, legal and fits!
