very close... I don't think trains cross there though. OpenRailwayMap shows the passing loop at mine, but not one at Castel Gandolfo.

Thanks. It's over forty years since I did that line, so the memory is getting a bit foggy!

To be honest I couldn't tell it was a different script- I just assumed it had been blurred like the number plates to avoid giving any clues!

It is in Russia. It's the old station building in this city, and now houses a railway museum.

I wasn't quite sure what to call it - it seems to have been a separate station, and Russian Wikipedia says Yekaterinburg I. Is that format related to and/or different from being *Yekaterinburg-1 by any chance?

Ingoldstadt Nord?

The pedestrian underpass at Bahnhof Ingolstadt Nord is decorated with murals depicting all the towns with which Ingoldstadt is twinned. The twinning of Kirkaldy and Ingoldstadt occurred in 1962, as per the date on the mural.
