Which FOCs could be interested in the 93?

I've made a list of which FOCs could be interested in the 93.

Freightliner: acquired additional DB 90s recently, more avaliable (?), company and drivers already sign the locos. I'm told behind closed doors FL said 'no thanks' to a 93 but future requirements could change once all 90s are exhausted.

DB: no domestic electrics (92s for CT only) and company is being wound down to make it more attractive for sale. Not going to invest in additional locos.

GBRf: don't bother asking, they have superior 99s.

DRS: possibly be used as a 'super 88' if more WCML intermodals switched to electric and all ten 88s are exhausted.

...which probably translates into 'none of them' for the immediate future, I suspect.

And of course the other FOCs will have a decent idea of ROGs financial position/exposure, so I would expect they would drive a hard bargain if they were interested in any of the 93s.

And which fits with the drawn out acceptance of them, as ROG know they have dropped a massive clanger with this order and they desperately try to string out final payment. Might explain why former MD Karl Watts left...

We don’t know but, as this is on the Speculative forum, I think I am allowed to give opinions, to me it looks like they were ordered as part of the Orion parcels operation which then collapsed. Every statistic about these locos seems to line up to parcels work to me. That clearly didn’t happen, so now they are stuck dragging out acceptance (as @43096 quite rightly points out) to avoid paying the final bill. Might well be wrong though.
