Correct, it’s to thin out the services running through the area as there is a 20mph speed restriction. You’ll see that most services running via the Trent valley are arriving into Euston late. I believe it’s a request network rail made.

Up Trent Valley Slow is blocked and has a temporary support structure constructed in it.

Also ESRs at Blisworth and Bourne End on increasing delay on the route to Euston.

They won't anyway before New Year as Crewe being shut for all or part of that week won't allow it.
