Are there any 507 movements planned for Monday 16th or [at a push] Monday 23rd December?
They usually appear on RTT on the Friday before so i'd say check RTT tomorrow! Are there any 507 movements planned for Monday 16th or [at a push] Monday 23rd December?
Path for the loco on Sunday also in now.Scrap path for 16th December just appeared on RTT. Anyone upset that 0554 was far too early to get up and see the train off from Birkenhead will be happy that it leaves at 0605 this time! I believe this will be 003 and 023. No sign of the corresponding light engine move on Sunday night on RTT yet.

It appears it was sent back to DerbyWhat happened to the loco that only made it as far as Crewe last Sunday due to Storm Darragh?
You sure about that I heard it’s 507003 and 5070235Q78 left Birkenhead EMU Depot at 0659 runniing 54 minutes late conveying 507029 and 507001 to Sims, Newport.
My apologies for the misinformation. You sure about that I heard it’s 507003 and 507023
It was said previously that the contract required all units to go to Sims, including 001 which is to be preserved. I would suspect that even if 507003 is retained it still needs to make a return trip to Newport.Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else but I thought 003 was staying for use after Merseyrail for a bit?
Which just sums up the ludicrous operations on the railways at times. Bad enough having to send 001 from Liverpool to Sims for it to then be roaded to Derby but having a unit going from Liverpool to Sims and back to Liverpool would be off the scale stupidityIt was said previously that the contract required all units to go to Sims, including 001 which is to be preserved. Managed to catch them at Wrexham - the camera from 003 was removed leaving a hole in the front where it was fitted I don't see it being kept to be honest! Although I would love to be wrong!
CorrectCorrect me if I'm wrong but they took 507006 from Seaforth after it's drag, so it'd make sense to drag it there for being loaded onto a low loader (Kirkdale having access issues IIRC)
Fairly sure they’ve all been permanently withdrawn now.Anyone know if any 507s will be running tomorrow (30/12/24). If so would be lovely to get probably my last ever ride out of them.
They've been decommissioned so no shoes or tripcock gear, and various other bits removed, they can't come back now unfortunately.Fairly sure they’ve all been permanently withdrawn now.
Still hear that 777035 is the only remaining unit not yet in service. The 507s finished running in service a few weeks ago. All 777s now.
Step plates and shoe gear etc are inside the train, will be refitted when it reaches its new home.507001 is planned be refitted with third rail shoes… but I don’t see it running on the Merseyrail network again anytime soon.
