Sorry, is that not in operation, the 507s are not out working this evening?I can confirm that the 507 pair is in fact not in operation on the diagram, Running two minutes late out of Bootle Oriel Road

Correct, The 507’s are not in operationSorry, is that not in operation, the 507s are not out working this evening?
Agreed. Does the metal pole attached to the luggage rack still shudder and vibrate behind one of the cabs?003 should be the one going, That ones horrendous
018 was one of the fourteen 507s expected to be retained the longest under the earlier plan, so it was not intended to leave early. It definitely did look rough prior to its last overhaul, however. Also about 507018, It was intentionally supposed to be one of the first to leave, However it had its overhaul instead. And it showed! If you see photos and videos of it before its overhaul you can see it looked very run down, Similar to how 507032 looked at the beginning of this year with the paint on the lights faded off. Overall though as a unit it stood strong and back in 2022 when it came out of its overhaul I noticed it was loud but not many people knew that. The only thing about it now is the countless amount of people who chase it

023 is still showing as in New Brighton Wall Sidings, so supposedly still has its fault.Does anyone know if the the three 507s (507003, 023 and 029) remain serviceable?
507023 was pulled from service last Saturday at Birkenhead Central due to a fault and has not ran since, any idea what the fault was, has it been resolved?
There were some report 003 and 029 may have had a fault Thursday morning?
Looks like the end once and for allIt has been mentioned by a reliable source on Merseyrailways 2.0 FB that none of the 507s are currently serviceable
It could well be, especially as I believe none of the units have thus far been to Birkenhead to be looked at.Looks like the end once and for all
I hope so, particularly as it may need to run at the Rail 200 event next year at Derby, and it would be good if it then went in to preservation in its best condition. But, would they go to the effort at this stage to swap a Traction Motor (from 018 for example) to rectify 001s MA fault?Would be a real shame if they did go out like that. Still get the feeling 001 will be patched up for one last trip
37800, has left Derby 9 early according to Old Rail Record Website. On ON38 1131 Derby Rtc Network Rail to Birkenhead Central. The paths for the next 507 scrap move have appeared.

Swapping a traction motor wouldn't rectify a Motor Alternator fault. It'll either be MA itself is knackered, a control card fault, or the MA speed regulator. Whilst the latter 2 would be preferable and much more straight forward than swapping the MA itself, it seems unlikely it'll have any time spent on it now.I hope so, particularly as it may need to run at the Rail 200 event next year at Derby, and it would be good if it then went in to preservation in its best condition. Definitely a real shame, although i'm grateful that I managed to ride 018 on it's last full day of passenger service! Certainly seems like I won't get the chance for the others!Such a shame they went out with a whimper, but no great surprise.
is this 100% confirmed to be their last runs? e.g no chance of one subbing if more 777s fail?It looks likely the last moves of Class 507s under their own power on Merseyrail will take place tomorrow, following the removal of 507007/018 in the morning. 507003/029 from Southport and 023 from New Brighton to Birkenhead North, where the remaining four will await their fate in the shed. As always with these moves, they almost certainly won't appear in the system until the last minute, so any confirmation the plan is to move them tomorrow and roughly when would be greatly appreciated.
Such a shame they went out with a whimper, but no great surprise. To have managed the last passenger journey of the 313, 314, 315 and 508 but not my favourite 507 class is very disappointing.
Not even one last service as a 6 car on Southports with 003 and 029? If this is the main plan then that is utter crap. No notice of when the last train will run, something which was done for 508104s last run. 003 and 029 failed on Wednesday morning and as of Saturday were non serviceable. I imagine the plan was to keep them running as long as possible. But if nothing has changed they will need a depot visit anywayNot even one last service as a 6 car on Southports with 003 and 029? If this is the main plan then that is utter crap. Fair enough, but its not the way I'd expect the 507s to go out. Such a shame.003 and 029 failed on Wednesday morning and as of Saturday were non serviceable. I imagine the plan was to keep them running as long as possible. But if nothing has changed they will need a depot visit anyway
No they didn't. They were in service on Thursday morning but have not been used since, reportedly due to issues drawing power.003 and 029 failed on Wednesday morning and as of Saturday were non serviceable. It is very unlikely that 001 will received any attention at Birkenhead. It only needs to be in a fit state to be transported to Litchurch Lane.Swapping a traction motor wouldn't rectify a Motor Alternator fault. It'll either be MA itself is knackered, a control card fault, or the MA speed regulator. Whilst the latter 2 would be preferable and much more straight forward than swapping the MA itself, it seems unlikely it'll have any time spent on it now.
Probably won't happen until if/when the scrap drag finally leaves Birkenhead North. It's already two hours late.Anyone know what time 023/003/029 are moving to North? Still cant see any pathing for them
