The question is to what extent.Wouldn't there be some economies of scale gained in adding capacity to cater to demand? Either with a whole new service, or, if technically feasible, added coaches
Things that spring to mind:
- the website costs would remain basically the same no matter how many trains they ran
- if Glasgow and Edinburgh were longer separate trains then there wouldn't be the expense of messing around at Carstairs.
