If you’ve passed your DMI (find out within 2 weeks normally) then you’ll go back and do your stage 2 computer OPC psychometric tests. This is the final stage, if you pass this you’re in.

The EMR assessment day does NOT count towards your two lives in the psychometric tests. So if you don’t get through on the EMR day, it’s not the end of the world and you’ve got the stage 1 tests in the bank for the next time or TOC you apply to.

Thanks for this info. I’ve recently been invited to the assessment day for EMR (post stage 1). Are you able to share any of the assessments or events that take place on the day or anything to focus on in preparation for the day?

Has dates been given or you mean you've been told its the said next stage in the process?

That is from the initial advert. It looks like they're advertising in advance with courses planned for the people who pass

I have had an email today from EMR to say that I have passed the first stage and I’ll be invited to an assessment day with EMR. So I’m guessing those that did the OPC stage 1 testing last week like I did will either have had emails already or won’t have too long to wait for results

I had mine at lunch time today to say I have passed. congrats on passing mate

I've also had the email today though to next stage with EMR.

They wouldn't even have a taxi agreement during the Olympics, when there was a Saturday turn that finished at 03:00 on Sunday morning. - No trains to anywhere for about four hours afterwards.
Although some drivers managed to "persuade"!

I passed too, I’d have thought more pass it than fail it, it must make for a lot of dates needed for the assessment centre stage.

I had an email from EMR on 06/09 saying they had confirmed my OPC stage 1 and 2 were successful and "they'd be in touch shortly" regarding the assessment centre, that was the least I heard.

I'm guessing shortly could mean 6+ weeks in the rail recruitment sector??

Which Deport did you apply to?

I applied for St Pancras and got an email saying I’ve been shortlisted to the assessment day (I’ve already passed my stay one and stage two) I haven’t heard anything since then

As you mentioned guards, WMT have Trainee Conductor vacancies going at the moment with one being Northampton

Edit: should say that’s if you’re not wanting to wait for a TM/SC job at EMR Kettering as an alternative!

Does it really take this long just to shortlist for stage 1? Applied for St Pancras just over 2 months ago. After getting the email on August 27 that they're still shortlisting, an email from an actual person at 1am, I didn't think it'd take this long. This is all new for me so I'm extra impatient.
