Delivered the ultimate prize at Stamford Bridge out of the wreckage that Lampard left only to be treated dreadfully by them. I wish him luck.
A good choice for England to appoint Thomas Tuchel, he got the best out of Harry Kane in terms of scoring at Bayern Munich.
Lee Carsley for me sank his chances with the Greece defeat with confused tactics & then being non-commital in the press conference’s.
Was Carsley simply keeping the seat warm for a far more experienced and permanent replacement for Gareth Southgate?
Had Carsley actually indicated that he wanted the job?If they’ve all but confirmed it today, when Carsley spoke after the Greece game 5 days ago it’s inconceivable that he wasn’t aware he wasn’t getting it
When push comes to shove, it is the ability of the team players to put the ball in the back of the net of the opponents and howsoever good match planning is by a top manager. it is the ability of the players in the team (all highly-skilled professionals) to fully bring the planning into a successful conclusion. When I held the position of Senior Head of Projects at the consultancy, all the motivation that I gave in team talks was only as good as the ability of mu under-managers to then give successful presentations that brought in new project work.Had Carsley actually indicated that he wanted the job?
Boston 0 Gainsborough 4. Worst performance ive seen from a Boston team in my lifetime.
This is the crux of all team games. No matter how meticulous your planning, no matter how well worked your tactics, no matter how skilled your players, the opposition also has planning, tactics and players. Tends to cock it all up.When push comes to shove, it is the ability of the team players to put the ball in the back of the net of the opponents and howsoever good match planning is by a top manager. it is the ability of the players in the team (all highly-skilled professionals) to fully bring the planning into a successful conclusion.…
It's only last season that the Northern Premier League, Premier Division, lost a north-east club when Marske United could not fulfil their fixtures and had that season's results expunged. I hope that Blyth don't end up going down the same road. What's been happening at Blyth Spartans (Northern Premier League)? They are reportedly up for sale, the Club Secretary has apparently resigned, General Manager has also resigned, and Saturday's home NPL league match vs Gainsborough Trinity looks to be off.
Bottom of the table and their next two home games now confirmed as postponed (this Saturday v Gainsborough Trinity and next Tuesday v FC United). They can't play without certain officials in place, presumably for licensing purposes. What's been happening at Blyth Spartans (Northern Premier League)? When we (Stockton Town FC) played Blyth very recently, Blyth Spartans fans were organising a boycott of the club. Apparently not happy at the way the club was being run. According to anecdotal evidence most Spartans fans went to Blyth Town to watch their game & the few remaining fans walked out at half time. What's been happening at Blyth Spartans (Northern Premier League)? Boston o Halifax 1. Good game, netter than midweek. Draw would have been a fair result. Still in the bottom four!
Yeah it was hard work. Disappointing result again, hope you had a good day out, view from the away end is poor. Fair few Halifax fans in the Eagle pub beforehand.Blimey that was hard work - or at least it was watching from the away terrace. We scored after 55 seconds and rarely threatened afterwards; Boston huffed and puffed and we got a bit lucky with a goal line clearance
Adan George managed to get booked for kicking the ball away and then get a second yellow for dissent. Footballers sometimes aren’t the brightest
Are people still behind Butler? Or the honeymoon period now ended?Scunthorpe's poor form continues, with a goalless draw at Chester, to make it 3 draws and a defeat in the last 4 league games, plus the FA Cup exit to Guiseley. Somehow, they are still a point clear st the top, but they do have a bit of a safety margin of a game in hand.
In the Laws of the Game, how is such an offence actually viewed and is there a standard punishment then applicable?someone i know spoke to the referees assessor, he was actually sent off for delaying the restart. Terrible decision in my view.
It's normally only ever a cautionable offence, so a player sent off for 'delaying the restart' must, presumably, already have been "on a yellow card" for something else.In the Laws of the Game, how is such an offence actually viewed and is there a standard punishment then applicable?

According to the FC Halifax Town website's match report, Adan George was sent off for two cautionable offences, the first was delaying the restart by kicking the ball away and the second, late on, was for dissent.someone i know spoke to the referees assessor, he was actually sent off for delaying the restart.
