No sorry I don’t but will try to ask tomorrow as I’m on Crown Point for a bit. It’s the white light at ankle level in the doorway. Really annoys me seeing people keep pressing the door open button when trying to keep the doors open during station dwell times when all they need to do is block the light.
Okay thanks

Also do you know what happened to 755420 because I used to be on it all the time but now it seems like it hasn't been out for weeks as I search for it semi regularly on rtt
It's been involved in an animal strike, its currently stopped awaiting some underframe parts.

Yeah I’ve noticed they take at least 2 745s off ps a week. I’m guessing for maintenance or tables being fitted to a 745/1, That being 745101 hasn’t shown on rtt for over a week, 745002 has recently gone back into ps after being off for about a week. If you count the 10 train diagram for Norwich & 9 for stansted over rtt, they only need to operate 18 745s 6 days a week with the spare being a triple traction on Norwich & a pair of 720s on stansted. On Sundays it’s different, Only 5/6 745s are needed for Norwich as regularly 1tph in which stansted can run a full house of 745s if engineering works don’t take place on the waml via Clapton. If another 745 had to be taken out of service if defected or maintenance, they would add on the extra 720 on stansted & the 10 car triple traction 755 on Norwich. Most of the time disruption on the line can cause diagrams to be out of place, etc if most 745s are between Colchester & Norwich during a points failure, fault with the signalling system to occur on the geml, they would not have to use an extra 720 to fill in for the few 745s that usually change over diagrams to stansted, mainly the 07:30, 09:00, 11:30, 14:00, 14:30 & 19:00 to Norwich use 3 different 745/1s. It’s a shame they didn’t order another 10 more 745s if they wanted to extend the timetable to 3 tph instead of 2 on Intercity.

Tables are fitted (around 4 per night) at Orient Way.

Are there any others long term out of service?
I was going to say 745101 as it’s been off for over a week but, that’s finally gone in ps today working 1P35 12:00 to London then on stansted express for the rest of the day.

So far only on 105+107 at the very front.

What is ‘ps’ in this context?

No 3 x cl755 on the usual London diagram today by the looks of it...
Yeah not sure why it’s being formed by 007 instead of triple traction. That means free first class for whoever’s travelling on the 10:00, 12:30, 15:00, 17:30 & 20:00.

More 745s in Norwich as one extra Stansted diagram is a pair of 720s?

Yeah I noticed 3, 10 coaches filling in for 2 745/1 & the other is 745005 on stansted diagram also 008 swapping with 105 at 2pm which means all 745/0s are running today leaving out 4 745/1s, possibly because of the 2 incidents that happened on the WAML on Thursday & Saturday & the GEML on Friday.

755334 + 755411 + 755423 have appeared on 1P67...

Apparently filling in for 010 in which might’ve been defected while leaving crown point earlier.

745105 was back out after the one under last week so it's most likely the case of others being OOS or whatnot

Yes unfortunately most of the 745/1s have possibly been involved in the previous incidents on both lines between Thursday & Saturday. Haven’t seen 106, 110 or 102 in a while, instead there’s 2 additional 720s on the express diagram lately. 102 & 110 are back in service recently.

No coach formation showing. Must be a triple 755.

0747 Felixstowe to Ipswich and 1758 Ipswich to Felixstowe are now ruined by a dozen loud children every day. These 3 coaches are going to drive me insane.

Isn't the benefit of the central 'engine coach' that you can separate yourself from a dozen loud children?

Unfortunately, it's one big group strewn throughout the train and theres no quiet section on a 3-coach... that is unless I want to uncomfortable take a seat next to another person when there are open seats available.

Don't get the bus then, it's even worse
Yep, my friend gets the bus back and its certainly questionable. At least theres another with not too long of a wait, the trains dont benefit from that and an extra hour in town wouldn't be my top choice.

It’s only 25 minutes. Just think of England and get on with it.

Oh I'll still opt to take the train no matter how many children or whining babies are on it, they're not exactly hurting anyone and they're (most likely) paying to use the service.

Not many get a free ride anymore. We’ve got some very proactive conductors these days who will hunt out every penny. No doubt we were no angels travelling to/from school.

745101 has officially got tables throughout most of the train apart from the odd 1 missing one out at the very front right coach 1.
