BTW, it's 'railway station'.![]()
First Capital Connect's website said:For rail information about Cambridge train station, trains to/from Cambridge, train times and Cambridge timetables.
I thought as much. So any ideas why its in the search engine?
Officially in Britain it is a railway station, BUT
At Manchester Airport the signs refer to the 'rail station' which I haven't seen at any other location!
i thought the signs just referred to 'The Station', i didn't think it differentiated between bus+coach, and train, apart from in The Station building, where signs point one way for Bus and Coach, and another for Trains
Dyce airport makes me laugh, it's on the wrong side of the runway, it would be like saying, yeah, you can use Styal station to access EGCC, wrong side of the runway but you can walk, right?
I thnk there is still a station at Teeside airport but very few trains stop there which does seem rather daft.
Dyce airport does have rather poor connections, as you have pointed out to the previous person making that posting.
Potential for a branch from Horsforth, but I don't imagine that the members of the golf club will be happy.
There was a proposal to reinstate and extend the Rawdon branch from the Leeds end of Greenbottom tunnel. Don't think it ever came to anything other than a theoretical excercise.
Connection at Greenbottom facing wrong way for Leeds traffic.
