A minor heart condition. Back in 2017 the company I applied for cleared the condition with Occy Health but by that time I wasn’t able to start the course and was talent pooled.
Failed it last year, same thing. The company wanted NHS reports which took forever to be completed, by which time the course I had been offered had been filled and I was talent pooled again.
If I get to medical stage again, I now have very detailed info about what I have, although there is no guarantee I’d be accepted, so it really is last chance saloon.
It’s so annoying to have passed all the assessments twice now only to fail the medical.
I guess this really is the last chance for me.

Out. Received my email about an hour ago. No feedback provided so I'm unsure of the exact reason. I applied knowing that I couldnt get to Worcester in under an hour in rush-hour (56 minute commute after 20:00 hours) but wanted GWR to rule me out rather than wondering what might have been.
Fun while it lasted and still paddling in another TOCs pool. Good luck to all still in the running.

yeah i did apply for penzance/plymouth as well, didn't see the shunter position, i will be in the Redruth area for the next 2 weeks just drop me a message

I’m out for the Worcester post had an email today no feedback can only assume it’s my home location being 52 minutes away from Worcester station, keep trying.

Applied for Worcester 10 days ago and haven't heard anything since, no rejection email at least!

From everything I've read on here, hearing this soon is almost always bad news! And no news is good news. Can't remember any other situation where I've been checking my emails in the hope I haven't received one!

I got this email too. First time applying so I don't know if this is a good thing, or a soft rejection (ie, you're not good enough to get through in the first round). It's hard to read between the lines.

I assumed it was just confirmation of getting through the online assessments and letting us know it’ll take a while to review everyone’s CV.
There was no option to submit a CV was there I thought it was just previous work experience

Yea. Unfortunately had to go through the slow process of adding details manually. Why employers do that instead of just accepting CV's is beyond me.
Gives more of an opportunity to write at length about your experience fitting the role of driver, as apposed to a fairly short and to-the-point CV

At length? Is that what the majority of you did? I did a sentence or two. I've done so many applications that writing at length just to fail at the online tests would be the final blow for me. Doing the tests first would be preferred.

You had to submit your personal details, employment history, and education, i.e. your CV
Yes I took the opportunity to write lot as saw that it allowed 5000 characters so used as much of that as I could

I wrote a fair amount. The vast majority of applications are rejected at this stage, so I gave my best shot at impressing them.

It goes against all my teachings to write a lot on a 'CV'. Though, if that's what is expected for this application I will add more in my next attempt (if it's needed).
First time applying and I applied without researching the process so it's a learning experience as well.

Talking from a hiring manager’s experience, this isn’t necessarily a wise idea. But yeah, it’s a roll of the dice really.
Oh god, I used multiple of my roles / jobs over the past few years, think I filled in 4 boxes and combined must've been around 10,000 characters 
Thought the different roles I had offered different qualities. Ah well.
