Hello,
I’ve been searching various routes of EMR and every day/time/route checked is coming up cheaper on Advance First than Advance when using a 26-30 railcard.

I checked this on BRFARES and Standard Advance is no longer available on 26-30 Railcards with the exception of the highest Advance category.

However other railcards seem unaffected, for example 16-25.

Is this a bug? Anyone know what is going on?

Looks like the TOC has not set up fares correctly.
Surprised no-one else has queried this already. Has the issue only happened since the July fares revision? Looks to also affect London->Derby, London->Chesterfield and London->Sheffield, which are also EMR priced advances.

Seems only a recent issue, I bought a set of tickets on Tuesday with no issue

There was a new fares data update last night. Perhaps this error was made during this update?

I can see similar (possibly not identical) issues from earlier fares data... it may have been around for a while

Given that EMR allowed Network Railcard discounts on their advances until earlier this year, I wouldn't put it past them to accidentally remove the 26-30s with it :p

Was it the case at one time that discounted and non-discounted advances had different reservation quotas?

Do you mean only for journeys wholly within the former Network SouthEast area (i.e. St Pancras-Bedford or intermediate journeys, e.g. St Pancras-Luton, Luton-Bedford) or also for journeys outside the Network Railcard area? If the latter, then obviously they were allowed in error, and one wonders if many Network Railcard holders discovered this glitch and attempted to take advantage of it, and if so whether their tickets were accepted.

It was giving a discount for EMR Advances on those journeys, where the Network Railcard does not give discount on any Advance tickets.
