Although gradually being replaced by the new East Midlands Control centre, there are still plenty of semaphores on the secondary routes in the East Midlands. Firsby to Ketton on the Leicester to Peterborough route (and then onwards to Norwich with exceptions around Ely and Norwich). The Nottingham to Lincoln and Skegness lines are still mechanically signalled until they reach the ECML, and then the Skegness line is onwards (Lincoln too might have one or two boxes until it gets to the resignalled area around Lincoln itself). Derby to Crewe aswell.
Talking about Norwich, whilst the Sherringham line is resignalled, the Yarmouth and Lowestoft lines are still semaphore signals. The two swing bridges on the Lowestoft line make the case for resignalling much harder (as they would still need manning, infact the need to still man Trowse Swing Bridge even after Colchester took over control of the area was part of the case for resignalling to Sherringham as it gives the person at the bridge something to do).
