Just received an in person invite to interview so keep an eye out for anyone else that has applied. Also does anyone have information on whether a suit would be required for the interview or whether a smart outfit in general would do. Thanks !

I believe as part of the East Coast Digital programme the DfT is paying towards recruitment and salaries as TOCs will need to cover for taking drivers offline for training.

When you did your video interview, did you get an email invite to that or did it just show on your dashboard. I haven't had any emails since uploading the supporting docs, but did the digital interview because it showed on my dashboard, I'm wondering if that is normal or not?
A week of nights at King's Cross are about every 6 weeks. Trains need servicing at Ferme Park (fuel and toilet emptying I think) then through the washer, reverse at Bowes Park and into Bounds Green depot for stabling/maintenance.
Then bringing into Kings Cross for the morning.
Might need to do 2 or 3 moves like this in a night.

From what I can remember it was both, I got an email saying that I had been invited to video interview, then when I went on my dashboard, the video interview was on my to do list. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice, going to spend the weekend doing as much research as I can about the company and the role requirements.
Yeh, I was surprised considering the amount of time the recruitment process seems to take in this industry. I don't come from a railway background, I have a mix of experience working as an art technician, a brand ambassador and working in restaurants / customer facing roles. I also spent a few summers shuttling artworks from London to Athens on my own in a Luton van. Not sure what would be most transferable to be honest. Lots of rules and regs in the art technician industry as well as repetitiveness and very high pressure at times. Trying not to put too much pressure on myself as I would really like to do well at interview.
Not heard anything this time round. I know last time it was DMI interviews about week after the invite was sent out (so I imagine they will be happening today/tomorrow).
Then I know there were some others that were then contacted 6months later for their DMI interview.
So far I’ve had an email in November checking my psychometrics level and an email in Jan informing me about the latest recruitment intake and that I’m still under consideration.
Despite already in possession of OPC enhanced passes at stage 1 & 2, i too get the knock back email. Computer says No, not even the offer of a face to face. Good luck to those still in.
No real feedback unfortunately, I feel I did pretty well in the interview so I'm glad I got that far to begin with.
The questions were basically "Describe a time when you..." followed by the job requirements on the advertisement. So for me one question was "Describe a time when you worked in a responsible role following rules and procedures." Luckily I had already written down and slightly memorised potential answers for these scenarios so I was pretty chuffed when I realised what the interview format was going to be.
They also asked "Describe a time when you have had to break the rules ?", which I had seen posted somewhere else on the forum. I think that question really tries to catch you out.

This question has indeed caught a lot of people out. Because of the nature of the role it is understandable to think they want to hear you say no never, they are there for a reason etc. This is very much not the case because it is a lie. What they do want to hear is when you have done it, the reason you did it and your justification for doing it in the first place. As long as you can demonstrate a common sense solution to a situation that falls outside the rules and that safety was in no way compromised you are laughing.
