Thanks for the reply. I won’t use it as a definitive, but it’s good to get a rough guide. Until the interview dates have passed and I don’t get a phone call or get told no, then I’ll remain hopeful.

I do the same a lot in interviews. I think it’s a subconscious thing to protect yourself from getting bad news. You’ve already prepared yourself for the worst, so if you do get a no, it isn’t as bad. If you get through, it’s obviously quite the opposite feeling. Just my take on it.

GL anyway, I hope you hear back with positive news.
Yeah all I know is if it says assessment they'll contact you at some point.

And thank you, I always think the same tbh, expect the best but be prepared for the worst.

I'm also terrible at interviews, customer service I'm great, anything hands on or test related I'm great at but I've always struggled with interviews. I'm not really any good at talking about myself.

But yeah hopefully I hear good news, but if not I tried my best on the day.

GL with your application I'm sure you'll do great.

I’m sure you’ll have done better than you think. Like you said, at least you’ve tried your best. That’s all you can ask of yourself.

Thanks again. Hopefully I hear back as my application still just shows in progress.

Just had an invite to interview in Birmingham. I hope everyone who has interviewed so far found it ok!

Just had a phone call regarding interviewing for Derby - got told because I've interviewed for BHM that I wouldn't need to interview again. Just as a heads up to all those who have applied to Derby as well as multiple depots :)

Just adding onto this - my application for Derby still says 'Application in Progress' despite being asked to Interview

Anyone heard anything?

I've heard there's depots who have already completed all the tests and have start dates for the February course

at my interview in Leeds they said the first half of the year courses are full, and I would be looking at end of 2024/2025

At my interview in Birmingham they said the courses were February and June and didnt say anything about them being full. But obviously February is a bit close having not done any of the assessments yet

mine also says application still in process from September. Slightly off topic but have also applied for some other jobs going at cross country but haven’t heard a peep back in 4 weeks. Anybody know how long it usually takes for them to reply if at all?

I’m surprised at the Feb course! People still have to do assessments and medical yet. Not a fast process. Also not even mentioning peoples notice periods.

Maybe some people who have already passed the assessments could make it. I imagine these courses will be for people who are already in the pool

Someone I work with applied for the Manchester one at the same time, they did their DMI and assessments just before Christmas, so it is possible I suppose.

But for the rest of us who've only just started the process it's going to be June or talent pool.

It's all just a guess there's no set period. This job came up in September and I heard my first response 2 weeks ago to give you a time frame.

I did the online testing in November but I've heard nothing since. Is it now just a waiting game?

Can I take it that if your account still says application in process you haven't made it through. Applied for Manchester in September, did the online test and heard nothing back since?

All I know is, my one changed to assessment when offered an interview. I've heard nothing for 6 weeks since the interview.

It seems they are going depot by depot, I know they've only just started calling people for Derby Depot after they had finished booking people for Birmingham Depot. I would just keep waiting, if you hear something you hear something

I still have heard nothing from Manchester so it could just be they haven’t got round to that depot yet.

Has anyone heard from Manchester?

It could be that Manchester is their smallest depot so they will do that one last.

I've applied for Birmingham which is their biggest I think and I've not heard a thing either

Same boat here, but someone did say their friend got interviewed in December for Manchester.
That was me, someone I work with applied in September too, did their tests and interviews before Christmas, has their medical a few weeks ago and starts in February

Well that's us knackered then!!! Lol
I don't know tbh if you've done your interview you should hear something either positive or negative.

If you've done no assessments or interviews yet I don't know what to tell you, only going off what information I know.

I haven't done anything other than the online test, passed the psychometric tests in late 22 to enhanced level. If people have already heard from Manchester depot.... I'd say its game over. Just have to keep trying... we'll get there.
