It could, but from my personal experience if I've not progressed it says in progress until they delete if off the system.

Strange question but do they ring off and withheld or unknown number, as my.phones set to ignore these

Nothing my end mate. Still at assessment stage. I imagine Birmingham is the biggest depot so I’m not surprised Manchester may be lower on the priority list.
2 trains an hour if I’m not mistaken so perhaps Manchester is one of the smallest depots

I was worried about that too but I have been told by people who received a call for interviews that it is a mobile number and NOT a No Called ID number.

I am the same for Edinburgh just now. Looks like they are prioritising depots and working their way through them, so there is still hope. Not seen anybody on here that has applied for Edinburgh say their application status has changed, or that they have received a call for interview yet either.

Thank you, i can also now confirm it comes from a mobile number, had a phone call today for an interview for Birmingham next week, so that's exciting.

Has anybody been notified via email for Birmingham? I created my DB profile for a different position (for Chiltern if memory serves me correctly) and have changed my mobile number between applications. My current mobile number was on the top of my attached CV, but if they take it from my profile page then it is incorrect. Despite multiple attempts to amend my number the User Details page has not updated.
I see that a lot of folk here have been notified by phone so hoping they (XC recruitment) try to get in touch by email. FWIW, my application status changed to 'Assessment' last week.

The only correspondence I've received by email was that my application was submitted and the next was to confirm my interview time and date. They ring you off a mobile number, that could be from your profile or CV as I've not had that problem I don't know where they're pulling it from.
If your application has changed to assessment it may be worth trying to contact them in regards to wrong number on profile page.

My status changed over roughly the first few days of January, I checked on the 2nd and it had changed then

Thanks very much for your reply. I'm not allowed to be in posession of my mobile while on duty in my current employment. After finishing my shift today I discovered that I had a missed call from a mobile number. I am on a rest day tomorrow so I'll call back and hope for the best. I'm hoping that it was XC and they did use the number on my CV.

Having looked at Google maps, it looks like it's within a building as wharfside street seems to be a road within a building that has multiple floors.
I was just going to get there early and figure it out after parking

No one has had a call for Edinburgh yet, they have a short list and interview dates penned in afaik but haven't contacted anyone interviewees yet for some reason.

I didn’t think anybody from Edinburgh had heard yet. I guess that’s good news for myself and others that applied there. Hopefully get the ball rolling soon and I at least make the interview stage. Do you know any rough dates they have pencilled in at all? Just asking as you seem to know more than most. Thanks in advance for any information.

Edinburgh applicant here, my status has been updated to assessment. I could not tell you when this was updated because I have not checked since Jan 4. Has anyone applying from Edinburgh had a call about an interview or assessment day yet?
For anyone that has had a phone call about an interview from any depot, how long after your status changed roughly would you say you got the call. (I know every depot could potentially be different)

Congratulations on getting to Interview!
The call took about a week to come through for me, but others were anywhere in that time and I'm sure there's more that have heard since! Just be aware that you may get a call later in the afternoon - mine was at about 16:00
