I posted similar some time ago but things seem to have changed. The class 755 Greater Anglia trains from Ipswich to Cambridge or Peterborough change traction at Stowmarket station. However I have recently noted these trains with their pans up to the west of Stowmarket. This means that they will have to change traction at Haughley junction...possibly 'on the run'. The previous replies were to the effect that such changeovers are not permitted due to the effect on the OH. I can see that using electric power up the 1:100 (or near enough) Haughley Bank would have cost savings. Anyone offer any updates? Thanks
