IC125s L. Waterloo - Manchester/Edinburgh

I remember the Carmarthen to London Waterloo services, saved my skin many a time, they offered a later service to London than Great Western did, although it was always packed out by the time it left Cardiff.

Not sure, but Thameslink would have been an option?

I doubt an IC125 would fit through the tunnels, never mind the diesel fumes problem ... sure would have been fun to see an HST run through though

Tunnels would probably be OK, just wouldn't clear the platform faces at Farringdon. They used to have steam-hauled goods through that tunnel and the ELL, no condensing gear IIRC, that can't have been fun for the crews.
