Thanks @LowLevel . The reason for the move being caped is that basically the units not finished. It's still undergoing testing and they're having some problems (I was at Wolverton on Tuesday inspecting the unit prior to it's return).

I saw a southbound 156 at Hest Bank today. Approx 11.30. E Mids colours but think was only 2 cars (might be wrong on latter)

There’s not much notable about two former East Midlands units working together now that they now make up a decent chunk of Northern's common pool of Newton Heath 156s, and indeed it’s now fairly common. 402 and 415 are also together on Rose Hill Marples today.

Just for confirmation, is 156417 due to move to Northern following its time at Wolverton? Its my last 156 for haulage, quite why I didn't get it when it was at EMR passing through my local station 5 minutes walk from my front door I don't know!

Yes. Had it been 417, it would have been a You Snooze, You Lose situation, as that's the only former Anglian 156 not to work again.

Thanks all, when I read that earlier I was kind of hoping I'd got 407. It will be the only one I don't get out of the huge class, which will be a shame but oh well. I still have others to go and get, my long-awaited trip to Newcastle is still to be planned!

I'm on a Tyne Tees today and managed to get 2 of my last 3 required. Will have to wait for later in the year to get my final one of the class, 156417.

The NH based units tend to stay around the NW and the HT based ones around the NE. However the cumbrian coast diagrams tend to be HT units also. HT allocated units are the ones that are Angel leased with the exception of two. The NH based 156s are all Porterbrook leased units.
