We take advantage of the overnight ruling and then walk to the Ardencraig Crescent stop on Ardencraig Crescent (3 min). There we board service 34 at 0553, then alighting at Govan (Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, stop 2) at 0635 on Sunday morning.

Bustimes seems to show no services from today on this route, but the First website shows them all still running.

I did notice that

We next board the 0640 Stagecoach West Scotland service X19 to Easterhouse (Shopping Centre), arriving there at 0728 on Sunday morning.

Due to the limited number of services to that bus stop, we would have to wait 3+ hours for the Craigs of Cumbernauld 310 to arrive at 1050, which then we would hop on the route and get off at Gartcosh, opposite Manor Road at 1103 on Sunday.

Limited number of services????

The 19, 41, 43, 46, 60, 60A, 310 and the X19 all serve Easterhouse shopping centre. Surely a departure on these must be available first?

Indeed there are, but this may well be a recurrence of the issue I had on post #35103 where bustimes seems to not be picking up First Greater Glasgow services (41, 60)...

They're showing for this Sunday (14th). The first departure on the 60 from Easterhouse is at 05:00 on a Sunday!

So then team, do we want to continue from Easterhouse or from Gartcosh?

I mean it does against the below quoted section in the first page, which makes me wonder what the point of said guidelines are if we're not going to stick to them?
Rules
  • You shouldn't wait for more than two hours after the first available service (to any destination) has left, after allowing for the minimum interchange time.
    • Night services in the UK can be quite limited, so when the previous move arrives at its destination after 2300 you are allowed to wait until 0500 the next day if you wish.
I personally think we should continue from Easterhouse as normal; waiting almost three and a half hours for another bus service does seem unreasonable, especially given services resume as early as 5am, which for a Sunday in particular is remarkably impressive!

Unfortunately we just can't make the train to Cumbernauld at 13:39, so we have a rest at the station before boarding the 14:25 Scotrail service that gets to Glasgow Queen Street at 14:41 on Sunday afternoon

With the next departure from nearby being not until 1727 we walk the 7 minutes to the station and await 1Y27, Scotrail's 1917 service. We alight at Oban at 2124 on Sunday.

This is compliant as it is within 2 hours of the first available servicev to anywhere...

Looks like we're staying the night at Oban as there doesn't seem to be anything running at this time on a Sunday evening.

From Oban Station Road, we'll pick up Scottish CityLink service 905 at 0745 Monday morning - and we'll take this to Tyndrum (opp Pine Trees Leisure Park) arriving at 0851 Monday morning.

We decide to end our sojourn in Scotland by boarding the 1258 Avanti West Coast service heading to London. But we'll alight at Warrington Bank Quay at 1541 on Monday afternoon.
