Yes, unless there's been more recent attacks. 006 was cleaned but I don't think it's been used since. It's been parked next to the depot with a notice in the cab window for a while. I've not been able to read it when I've gone past, though....and has the graffiti been removed from the affected units?
Looks like 230 008 has been working well today. How are the 230s doing this week?

150 284 in the opposite hour, on the other hand, ran increasingly late and has been turned at Wrexham General but is still 30-odd down.
The 1.30 was cancelled because 230008 failed, one of the others was shunted in for the 3.30
RTT isn’t always right, i found out this morning that 230008 had failed yesterday and went back to Birkenhead, 230009 took overStill showing as 008 on RTT? https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:V40557/2023-05-03/detailed#allox_id=0

I was on a TfW class 175 service to Manchester Airport yesterday which was shown as 5-car (3-car plus 2-car), and indeed it was from Flint - luxury.I know that but some people take it as gospel what is on there

They have the other 230 there for crew training so i think a swap is quite easy and the failure can go back to BirkenheadFair enough, I was just surprised how quick they were swapped - 90 minutes at General between 008 failing and 009 taking over. Anyone know what the issue was?
As the previous contributor asked, what was the reason for the failure. They have the other 230 there for crew training so i think a swap is quite easy and the failure can go back to Birkenhead
There has to be a rescue unit available. So if one fails and returns to depot. There still needs to be 2 others available. One for service, one for rescue. They have the other 230 there for crew training so i think a swap is quite easy and the failure can go back to Birkenhead

From a while back, Is the fitter still on the trains? The 230 gave no problems at all and hopefully it continues. For the time being there is a fitter onboard with a laptop who is on hand to deal with any faults should they occur. Once they've bedded into service a bit the onboard fitter will stay at the depot like with other stock.
They took them off last week as reliability wasn't an issue. Last time I checked they were onboard for the ECS journey from Birkenhead North to Wrexham and the first service from Wrexham to Bidston, where they would then get off and go back to the depot. From a while back, Is the fitter still on the trains?
This is really poor. At least 2 failures a week since introduction.Another one has failed again today 008 i think

230 010 turn today to fail, trains cancelled again
What did it fail with today? Are there any reoccurring issues?I am sorry to say again but i just heard the 230 failed at Bidston trains cancelled again, i wish i could bring good news

Maybe this is what was meant by the term "innovation" when the Vivarail original project was originally launched.Wednesday saw more failed units. Really bad week for the 230s
No. I agree. They just ain't reliable!I managed to go on one this week - I was actually quite impressed! (Prepares for hate)
But each unit has 4 Ford Duratorq engines, presumably new, or refurbished, but if one fails, the other 3 should provide service. Unless the monitoring software stops the train?I don’t know exactly but the train crew say it’s usually a problem with the engines
