Another Problem on my ALR Journey

Guess what im seeing. My Camera wont work God Damn!

A Class 380 in Platform 12!!! ....

In middle road between Plat 11 and Plat 12..

yes that's what i saw just did not see 112..

So what's the plan after Aberdeen? Heading to Edinburgh or Glasgow? You could go to Edi, then take a Helensburgh train to take in the Airdrie - Bathgate?

As i'm on the 1st Class ALR, then i need to get home by tonight for my doctors appointment in Tewkesbury tommorow morning.. only problem i need to get in to Ashchurch on the 2154 arrival from Brighton. (this train ties in the with number 41 bus)

I've not done Aidrie But It Can be Done

1207 Abderdeen - Haymarket 1421
1425 Haymarket - Glasgow Queen Street Low Level 1537

(Walk to Glasgow Central)

1600 Glasgow Central - Birmingham New Street 1955
2042 Birmingham New Street - Cheltenham Spa 2124
2146 Cheltenham Spa - Ashchurch 2154

Thats a good plan and similar to what I was looking at, although I routed you via Edinburgh:

1207 ABD - EDB 1427
1448 EDB - GLQ 1607
1640 GLC - BHM 2055
2112 BHM - ASC 2222

So the Lovely Lady on the Announcer Said Sonic is Now in ELGIN.. And TouchWood no problems yet.. Is he going to have a problem free day, you never know in the adventures of sonic and his ALR.

You see the only problem with that is the bus to Tewkesbury Town leaves at 2209. from the roundabout down by the station. and I dont fancie walking the 3miles home!!

Just seen your bus connection, so presumably changing at Haymarket makes it the only option and again we have critical timings! Another evening at the PC watching Sonic's progress across the country

Just to add to your potential problems, it is snowing heavily here (Hamilton), although I am reasonably high up where I live, not sure what its like lower down.

Ha! Absorbing stuff...sorry to be dull, but Falmouth Town is slightly further South than Docks station, however Penzance does win!

On another issue, what am a missing on the PC? You tube sound works but no images...only a recent failing!

Happy journeys Sonic...consider Perth to Edinburgh via Newburgh/Ladybank then through Fife...splendid views of Forth estuary.

Never measured it. I'm off to the docs in an hour and will then be heading in by train to GLC. I'll update you on the weather situation. It started snowing around 0830 and started to settle about an hour ago. Its coming down pretty heavy and is forecast until mid-afternoon. The A-B does go pretty high up I understand.

MadCommuter the weather does not scare me let the country throw anything at me! i got through delays last night. not knowing whether i had a berth for the night. it keeps the journey in supense..

yes it has got one. but a vga camera its only a £10 pound samsung ") does the job tho.. can even get on rail forums on there.. ") im aware i will keep checking..

very weird. the only problems on the railways in scotland. seem to be @ stirling. where there is signalling problems.

ok problem with the orignal plan. the 1207 is now calling at montrose and carnoustie. addiontally due to the 1142 Glasgow Queen Street being cancelled. Will this affect the Connection @ haymarket?

It might do, there's an alternitive if you fancy it, there's a VT from Edinburgh at 14:51 to Birmingham arrives in Birmingham at 18:55.

Oh, the extra stops are down to make you 2 late into Arbroath. But they reckon still ontime into Dundee. Just see how it goes. If you get to Haymarket ontime, get off there and head down A7B. If not, you have the VT option from Edinburgh.

The inbound A-B has a 7 min turnaround at Waverley it would seem. Your inbound train has just left Airdrie, 2 mins late...there's hope!
