I did have a nice long response about the cascade plan all typed out, but my phone decided to lose it =[ Will retype it in the morning.

It has been suggested that when Kendal get their new Scans ME will take some Tridents from KL to replace the two remaining Leylands and our remaining S reg Tridents. Anyone know if there is any merit to this rumour/theory?
I think ME will have 7 Tridents from KL, dispose the Leyland's and send the 3 s reg tridents to PR to replace there Leyland's and a volvo oly and barrow will receive the other to see off its final one. So i think with the new orders and volvo olys being displaced around the country when the scans and E300's arrive there should only be a few Leyland's left and 2011 could see the end of them in the North West
Is it going to be the 555/556 PVR amount of scania's they will recive
That well could be the case. However I feel Preston's Leylands will be gone anyway by the time KL get new stuff and maybe even Barrows remaining one will have disappeared as well. It wouldn't surprise me if we lost the S reg's would just be a shame, I quite like them even if some others don't lol.
Equally it would be nice if we didn't lose any of our MANs but I'm almost certain we will as I suppose it would be selfish for ME to keep them (not sure if they have a choice) when other depots are in need.
I believe KL are meant to get 9 Scans (or at least 8). The PVR for the 555/556 as I'm sure you know is 6.
Do yo know when the scans are due for coming and hopefully well keep quite a few of the mans especially the V reg ones they are the best ones (internally)
Also if they are getting 8 or 9 it would be silly for them to put them on schools so they should lease one to ME for the 755 September-Mid July
As has been mentioned before I reckon ME will lose the 4 M reg B10B's and maybe a few B10s as well when the E300s turn up.. It will all become clear eventually when people in the know are aloud to tell us but until then we'll just have to keep guessing or wait for our E300s to turn up and see what happens!
So if theres 9 scans there could be more tridents coming out and if they do go to ME they may replace volvos which can then go to Kendal and by Christmas nearly ALL of there public routes that are not Permanent Low floor can be
By Christmas I think the following services will be operated by the following bus..
2/2A-Low Floor Trident
3/3A/4-Low Floor Man (New E300's due June)
5/50-Usually operated by volvo Olympian or B10 but no need for a decker on it so will probably be operated by MAN/Trident
6/6A-Low floor Versa/Solo
7/10-Low Floor Solo
40/41-Low Floor Scania
42-Usually a Man but sometimes anything probably be operated by MAN and maybe a trident in summer
55/55A-Usually B10/Oly but also a MAN Monday-Saturday Daytime probably be operated by a Man/Trident
80/81/81A/81B-Usually operated by B10/Olympian/Solo by the End of the year probably Man/Trident/Solo
555/556-Low floor Trident (SCANIA'S DUE AUTUMN)
755-Opearted by a volvo Olympian probably be run by a Trident by the End of the year
X1-Might be the only service with Not low Floor Bus
Schools-By the end of the year there should be Olympians/B10's/Tridents/Mans
I'd Imagine that the Oly and B10's may creep onto some services and if KL do get 4 MAN'S i'd imagine 1 of them will go on winter 599 usually only about 10 people on it
Please note: This is all based on us getting 12 E300's, and 8 or 9 Tridents and loosing 6 Mans and 4 S Reg Tridents, All Leylands/B10B's and a few B10M'S/Volvo Olympian
I would actually say that the X1 should be a priorty to get LF. Its an express link between the Uni and town and you often get a lot of students getting on with heavy luggage going to/from the train station.
Also could Gez's comment mean KL are actually going to keep some Tridents? Or maybe something else...
Maybe more new buses, hopefully, if were lucky, doubt it, but with SC you never know
No what I mean is when we get E300s the older MANs can go onto the X1. They appear on there quite often anyway and it only needs 2.
And just a quick question does the PVR of the 3/4 of 12 include short 3's
Would seem like a good idea but apart from schools the only decker service they run is 125/126 which are run by Scania's and the X61 which have had olys refurbished and are apparently meant to be receiving route branding for it so i very much doubt it and they also have a couple of our 170xx TridentsGood question, I don't think so no. I think the PVR went down to 12 and then they put short 3s on between the Uni and town to keep a direct and high frequency link for students.
Could some of KL's Tridents go to Chorley?

And chaps don't go re-allocating all of Kendals Tridents before October comes, as you may be in for a bit of a surprise
Its not that long ago, that members were trying to re-allocate Manchester Volvo Olympains to the North West.
As some of you are aware, I have just had a week in Devon, where a small number Manchester Volvo Olympains have just turned-up!, with 16775 already in service at Barnstaple.
On my way up the M5 on Saturday, between Jcts 23 & 22 I passed two more UID Volvo Olympains with Stagecoach Manchester fleetnames enroute into Devon.
Hopefully, Gez will known which ones these were.

Either you were mistaken KendalKing about the "Manchester" fleetnames or it wasn't 16720/859 you saw...they're from West Scotland.
There's also a new Sorry not in service format! "Sorry!" alligned to the left, with "I'm Not In Service" on 2 lines next to it.
