But with all due respect you might not pass so then it will be a waste of time wont it. Unless you've completed them all then you won't be able to apply, people need to understand its highly competitive and companies stipulate these restrictions for a reason so unfortunately if you don't meet the criteria then you won't be able to apply.
That answers my question as well then

My passes are 3years old and I haven’t been rejected although I did mine with db cargo in Doncaster
its 100% not 6 months i was added to the talent pool in March 2022 with db cargo i passed my assessments in 2020 they said i will remain in the talent pool for a max of 2 years which would be 5 years in total from assessments.

I had my medical in October and now await a course date.

Unless its different for this fast track campaign but i see no valid reason why it would be makes zero sense.
I originally saw this posted on Linkedin posted by HR who titled: If you hold valid psychometric passes then to apply. I did however I was rejected the day after so I asked why and she said that valid psychometric means no older than 6 months which has been well documented on this forum as being the case for DBC. Nonetheless had I not enquired and found out why then I am unable to see what else I could have failed on as the questions were very basic; yes / no style.

I thought assessments were valid for about 5 years with DB or am I wrong? I’ve heard that somewhere before. I could be making it up though.

While I completely agree with your closing statement there have been a couple of recent instances where companies have exercised discretion. There was a forum member who applied for GBRf, who were looking for full psychometrics as part of the application criteria, and they put him through his MMI. There's folk who earn trainee driver jobs despite living a fraction outside of the 60 minute commute rule.

We often don't know how hard the boundary is but when you get a hint of opportunity, as in the examples above, then why not put yourself in contention.

I was the guy that GBRf put through the MMI. From what I can gather it all depends on the recruiter and the amount of applicants. I’d say apply for what you think is right for you, and you may well get a pleasant surprise.

I hope you don't mind that I use your example without your prior permission. Congratulations by the way, hope the training is going well for you.

I’m guessing they are using this campaign to plug in potential vacancies is their training courses.

Although it’s a bit strange as some people in the official DB thread are still awaiting Medicals and course start dates.

No I don’t mind at all. It’s going well so far, well 10 on Monday so rules are done and now on traction.

I suspect it’s more a combination of increased business and drivers due to retire, as the courses are being run with higher class numbers to get more through.

Probably speed limited and monitored too.
What’s wrong with that? It’s a company vehicle, with their name on it? If you are being trained to follow the strict rules of the railway, and you have a diagram with accurate timings of travel, then whats the problem with being speed limited and monitoring of your driving style?

I can't see where they said they had a problem with it?

Little bit of information I received Incase anyone is interested:

They have had 500 applications so far for this. And as stated in the advert this is for a talent pool so don't expect to be placed on a course well until next year, the next stage is you will be invited for interview and whoever they decide to put through interview is up to the regional manager (im unsure as yet on the amount of drivers they are looking for) but if you are successful then as above you will be placed into the infamous talent pool (I'm in 3 at the moment).

Good for you for getting yourself out there, rather than sitting in one pool and waiting for something that might never happen, as all too many seem to do.

Does anybody know how long this application will run for? I can't see a closing date
who knows....just apply as soon as you can; they are at 500+ applications as of yet ,so depends

Mine has changed to “end of process” on DB website! Oh well.
