I commute from Gerrards Cross to High Wycombe each day. £6.70 return
A season ticket for the week is £38.50, making it a bit cheaper for me to just buy a return each day. Monthly is £148, so significantly cheaper to get dailies, especially considering holidays, days off etc.
I always thought that a season ticket was approx. 3-4x the daily rate, and looking at Marylebone tickets from Gerrards Cross this multiplier is about right (£15pd vs £53pw) .. but in the other direction you don't get much discount.
I feel guilty for the trees, printing all those tickets*
but why is it priced like this?
* at least the mobile scanners will be working soon
