You only find out if you passed the computer tests. There was 5 of us but only 4 computers so one person went and done the mmi first whilst the other 4 done the computer tests then we swapped over. The mmi wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’m happy with how I did in it but whether that’s good enough is a different question. 7-10 day wait for final result.

Well done mate. Were the questions these ones that are mentioned on this forum alot.....
1. Describe a time when you followed rules and procedures
2. Describe a time when you have solved a difficult problem
3. Describe a time when you have been on a training course over 2weeks or greatest achievement
4. Describe a time when you have handled an emergency situation
5. Describe a time when you have worked for long periods of time alone
6. Describe a role you do similar to a train driver?
.....or were they different?

I feel it would be wrong of me to say the exact questions I got. All I can say is research this website and you will get good info from there. From what I've read they are not always the same questions but similar. I felt fine after mine last week but as time goes on the more the self-doubt creeps in and starting to think did I get all my points across and were my answers good enough. Good Luck!

Just received an email to say I’ve passed psychometrics. Absolutely chuffed to bits ! Read it a few times now to make sure I’ve read it properly haha. Only sat computer tests and mmi on Thursday.

My assessment and mmi is on 13th October as I had to reschedule it.

Passed the Vienna tests today and now waiting for the results of the MMI. Fingers crossed!

There were 4 of us taking part, 1 no show and 3 of us got through to MMI. All seem good lads so fingers crossed everyone progresses.

Cheers mate. I was convinced I failed the ATAVT, just not confident doing that at all. The WAFV was simple enough, just a case of staying alert and paying attention for the black square to appear and the ball on the track was ok as well.

I was just delighted to get through in all honesty as that's some achievement and I hope my answers for the MMI were enough to get to the final hurdle. The MMI was quite relaxed, a little prod here and there so he got what he was looking for and I think I done well but then who knows! Haha. Hopefully I get my results (fingers crossed positive) back as quick as you did.

I'm the same mate, hate interviews and very nervous about them and now we're at the final hurdle it's even more nerve wracking! Hopefully we hear something soon though.

I've just remembered I had a missed call from a mobile number ending 06 on Thursday afternoon , I don't suppose that was the number from Nexus? I'm also waiting to hear from them about a medical.

It's not Shields, it's a company in Newcastle. But they'll give you all the info in an email when they've confirmed your appointment.

I know I've heard so many different things about the next phase I have no idea other than a medical but I'm assuming another type of interview at some point as well haha

So I haven't had an interview with Nexus yet and the first contact I had directly with them was to book the medical. So I'm assuming everyone else is the same and the Nexus interview comes after you passing a medical.

funny you should say that ever since I booked medical I’ve been thinking allsorts, what happens if I’m colourblind and I haven’t got a clue haha. Same with my hearing. Basically diagnosed myself with all sorts lol. I haven’t had interview either. First contact with nexus is medical. I was gunna reply on email about next steps to the lady from HR but thought best not as didn’t wanna get ahead of myself and I’m sure they will let us know in due course.

Now I'm like what about my BMI? It's not a big number by any standards but I'm not on the healthy range.

So, I've just had a very nice chat with Rebecca from Nexus and I'm now here to give everyone the update we've all wanted

The medical is the FINAL STAGE!!! No DMI will be undertaken with Nexus, if you have passed the OPC stage and have a medical booked or are waiting for a phone call to book a medical, this is the final hurdle.

There is a course set to begin at the back end of November which is there or thereabouts full if those who have medicals booked, pass and accept the job offer. I assume the only issue some may have, is notice period for that date. The next course after that is due to start 16th January and it looks like this will be the one I go on, should I pass the medical as I can't do mine for another 4 weeks due to going offshore this Thursday for 3 weeks and then I'm on a course the week after unfortunately.

So, there you have it. For those of us who have passed the OPC stages, good luck with your medical and those who still have the 2nd OPC assessments to do, good luck and you also know that if you pass those, you then only have a medical to pass and no DMI.
