Announcement this morning apparently.
Annoyingly I can't see anything but a postponement, so money down the drain for train tickets for me

As huge an occasion that this is....I'm not so sure there's the collective will to effectively invoke another shutdown of part of the economy.
Surely football should be allowed to perform its own tribute to HRH?

Thomas Tuchel is no Fergie...
But in terms of it being a step up a little too soon, as it was with Moyes (who is now a better manager having failed at Old Trafford and having to rebuild his standing in the game) I'd say that's quite likely. Depends how much time Potter is given, but with a five year deal his accountant will be pleased!

Maybe a bit premtive but if England don't do all that well at the World cup I can't see Southgate lasting much longer, so Potter could have been one of the top candidates for that. Main worry with Chelsea is that the new owners seem just as trigger happy as the last so will he even be given a fair chance to build his style into them
Definitley, no logic at all behind the decision. Thousands of people now out of pocket, many having travelled miles even from abroad

No. Although there was no directive from either the Government or Royal Family to so do. This decision was taken by the FA who have sadly misjudged the mood of the nation.
However, it seems the decision may have been influenced by Police advice that an extremely small number of clubs supporters would have deliberately tried to hijack the mourning. This could have led to major disorder in or around the stadiums.

Bradford Park Avenue 1 v Darlington 3 - A great result at a ground where we routinely get nothing even if the performance wasn't actually that good. Mark Beck really is the difference at this level.

A return mid-week match here as Hyde had won 4-0 there in the FA Cup 1st qualifying round just over a week ago and early Warrington pressure saw them go 2-0 up after 25 minutes but Hyde went in 2-2 at half time. Well contested second half but Hyde scored twice in the last 10 minutes to register a 4-2 away win and go 5th in the league.

Without doing any background research, I'll take a stab in the dark at Everton.
My own team have now gone a few monarchs since our last major trophy in 1926... and the way things are going it won't improve under Charles... or William... or George.

We have a winner! The reign of Edward VIII knocks out a couple of potentials.
Sadly the second leg of the England v France clash was delayed until 1415 when England secured an away win in terrible conditions at Agincourt.
it also wasn't recognised as a major trophy at that point.

Villa would be correct, numerous trophies under HM Q Vic, the 1905 FA Cup v Newcastle and the FL in 1910 under EVII.
1913 FA Cup v Sunderland under GV, and several trophies under her late majesty.
