Last year another member asked whether to purchase the paper or mobile Eurailpass in this thread: https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...l-better-and-how-to-make-reservations.219643/

This year, I am asking for help/leads in where I can purchase a paper Eurailpass from any seller worldwide (as long as they have express shipping). Another idea could be to purchase the pass in person from a Eurailaid office. If they have it. Possible pickup points could include London, Zurich, Frankfurt or maybe Amsterdam (in that order).

All of the sellers in last year's thread no longer sell paper Eurailpasses, and after contacting multiple travel agencies and railways, only Eurail.com seems to sell the paper version. Only problem is they promise pass delivery by 2 October and I need the pass in September. I've contacted them and there is no option for expedited shipping. Great customer service. Sole source without ability to expedite shipping.

It has become difficult to purchase a classic paper Eurailpass. Another source of travel headache.

In case anyone asks, I prefer the stability of a paper pass to a buggy (based upon other reviews) mobile pass that does not even have on call tech support in case something goes wrong. If it were reliable-- for example, as a major airline app with on call tech support-- I would not hesitate to buy the mobile version.

Being non-Brit (though having visited this island just 2 days ago): I think, but call to make certain, Ffesttiniog travel still does-on special request. THis is, from what i understand from abroad, a long established and well known traintickets seller. Google will probably deliver a direct link. I can remember to having read also 1 or 2 others.
IF you happen to fly in to this continent-some station-ticket-offices, notably those of DB/Germany, are also still able to deliver on the spot in a few minutes (FRankfurt, München airports, perhaps even some more). Also SchipholAMS (NS-but limited opening hours). There of course you pay in €-but on a card you will hardly note that.
(this comes courtesy of free wifi from DB in a new RRX train to Flensburg)

Myinterrail.co.uk still does paper, and has much shorter delivery times than the "official" site.

Worth noting that while Interrail and Eurail are pretty much the same these days if you're not resident in Europe you'll still need an Eurail pass, not Interrail (and vice versa). In Zurich, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam (although not London) you can buy Interrail passes at the ticket office so they may be able to sell Eurail ones too, probably best to ask SBB/DB/NS.

DB state in their terms and conditions where they sell Eurail passes:
Berlin Hbf, Berlin Flughafen BER, Dresden Hbf, Düsseldorf Hbf, Frankfurt(M) Hbf, Frankfurt (M) Flughafen, Hamburg Hbf, Hannover Hbf, Heidelberg Hbf, Köln Hbf, Leipzig Hbf, München Hbf, München Flughafen, Stuttgart Hbf, DB UK Surbiton (London).
(Are they still in Surbiton?)

NMBS/SNCB sell Eurail passes at Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi.
NS probably sell them at Amsterdam Centraal and Schiphol.

There are probably more possibilities but not all operators are very clear whether they sell Eurail passes and where.

FWIW getting an Interrail pass at the Trenitalia ticket office at Roma Termini was no problem either, in the Netherlands NS indeed sells it at Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport.

Been traveling. So haven't had time to thank everyone who replied with suggestions!

At this late date, a friend who will travel with me will arrive Frankfurt one day ahead of me. He will try to buy the Eurailpass for both of us from the long distance train station, and if not successful, the original airport station. If both don't sell the Eurailpass, we have one more shot at Frankfurt HBF.

Next destination: Zurich. Could also try there, but that would mean buying the dreaded point to point ticket. Otherwise, it will mean purchasing the mobile Eurailpass.

We will see what happens. I'll provide an update.

I can confirm that paper Eurailpasses are sold at Frankfurt Airport's long distance train station (Fernbhahnhof).

The particular agent I had was not familiar with the full product range and told me that they did not sell the type of pass I wanted. Good to bring a print out or screenshot of the DB webpage showing what is offered and how much it costs.

A friend arrived a day ahead of me. He bought a paper Eurailpass the day before. He is planning to make a return trip later this year. He wanted to buy one for his partner (she was not on this trip) and the agent said that they had to see the actual passport before they would sell you a Eurailpass.
