Could you bring Thameslink core up to Elizabeth line standards?

I presume the shorter dwell time is primarily due to the platform edge doors ensuring boarding passengers know where to stand?

that’s part of it, also more doors per metre of train, and also because there is much less doubt about where the train is going, and therefore fewer people on the platform who aren’t boarding (and thus in the way)

I really wish every new line can be done in this way, with upgraded old lines doing this as well.

The dwell time of Thameslink train in the core is much longer than London Underground. With proper configuration it should be as frequent and efficient as the London Underground.

Thameslink dwells are I think about 45 seconds maximum in the core. Given that the core comprises four busy interchange/destination stations, that dwell is usually quite well used with large numbers of alightings and/or boardings. The trains are designed for minimum dwell times with wide fast operating doors which under ATO, don't have the 3+seconds wait for interlock release.
