I am assuming what you have is a First Off Peak Return ticket (if it was 0930 that changed the fare). If so you can use any train within its time restrictions.
If you can post a photo of the ticket with any personal details/reference numbers obscured we can confirm for certain.
For the avoidance of doubt, what are the midweek travel time restrictions for the outward and return legs, for this particular ticket type, between Taunton and London?
Ticket restriction details LC. Each train ticket restriction code states when and/or on what train(s) the ticket is not valid and the days and/or dates that these restrictions apply.
www.nationalrail.co.uk
Outward: any train from 08:16 from Taunton; also valid on the 07:23 service via Bath Spa
Return:
Not valid on trains timed to depart:
London Paddington after 04:29 and before 09:17 and after 16:38 until 18:36*
If you travel on a train that is not valid by the time restrictions, you can be asked to pay the difference between the price paid and the lowest priced fare that would have been valid.
The time restrictions applicable to the ticket aren't the only thing to consider in the case of a Two Together Railcard though as you also need to consider the T&Cs of the Railcard itself.
