SKY TV Channel Moves February

Challenge is taking over Channel One's slot on Freeview

Fair enough, I was wrong with that, although I did find something about sky 3, apparently its being renamed as picktv (well according to this website! and wiki)

That's unconfirmed by SKY has far as I can see but the users on DigitalSpy seem to be seeing the same thing! We'll have to see.

I currently have Freeview on my TV but I'm neither a Sky customer nor a Virgin Media customer. Would I therefore be able to get Channel One after 1st Feb then?

As has been said - Challenge will be put on Channel Ones slot.

And Channel One will be no more as Sky are closing it down on 31st January

Sky2 - 129
Sky3 - 152
Sky3+1 - 153
MTV Music - 350
MTVNHD - 358
MTV's other channels move down one each.

I recently pulled the TV service from my Virgin Media bundle
It was only costing me £6 per month, but now that Bravo and Channel One have gone, the content on Sky 3 has deteriorated, it no longer suits my requirements

This will leave me watching just BBC Four, Discovery, and BBC News, which I can get through my Freeview / Freeview HD service

When I first signed up to TeleWest in 2004 I enjoyed Sky One, and was quite happy with Virgin One when Virgin Media was created
I suspect it can't be too long before Virgin Media is renamed Sky Cable

As a freeview viewer I am delighted to have challenge! Channel One I found to be awful.

The only bad news is the listings congestion from 5 to 7 lol

Well the missus is gutted that Channel One has ceased as last night's Ghost Whisperer from Series 4 was the one before Jim got his memory back and the next episode was the episode she wanted to watch.

Unfortunately for her, that series is not being shown elsewhere at the moment. Unfortunately for me it probably means I have to buy it her on DVD
